And the really sad thing is that his approval ratings are at an all time high – for how he’s handled the Coronavirus crisis. Boggles the mind.
And I have yet to refer to someone’s fiance as a narcissist when I can call them an asshole, which is a far better descriptor. Trump is far more dangerous than your garden-variety narcissist. The problem is that Americans have become impatient and stupid and all too eager to follow the next new thing.

I think people are just bound and determined to follow him into hell because he’s manipulated his base into thinking everyone else is lying but him and they look to him as a god.

I loved that. “If you’re looking for someone to blame, blame me. If you want to yell at someone, yell at me. The buck stops with me. These were my decisions based on the expert advice I’m receiving”

when Trump was impeached, my dads reaction was “thanks dems for securing trumps reelection!!”
It’s mind blowing

Is it really tho? So much media censors any opinion remotely right wing or libertarian. Hollywood sure does.

Because he’s on TV even more than normal. Sadly it really is that simple. If a politician appears more and does anything short of shit their pants in front of people, people start to like them more.

Exactly. What a breath of fresh air. I literally felt moved when he said that, and I don’t even live in New York. It’s such a complete and utter departure from the “deflect deflect deflect” zero accountability style of “leadership” we get from Trump.

Sadly, he doesn’t care about the people of America. Real people are terrified of being homeless, becoming Ill, and losing everything because they have been left to suffer alone. Business is more important than lives and thousands of lives will be lost because of his irresponsible actions. The only reason he is pushing people to work is because he has done NOTHING to help people with job loss, people who are sick or who will be sick. It’s very, very sad and I’m sorry for Americans. As much as I complain about our prime minister in Canada, he has shown that he truly cares about Canadians and has guaranteed EVERY Canadian suffering because of the virus (either from being ill to losing a job) $2000 a month, starting within 2 days, option of deferred mortgage payments for 6 months, rent subsidies, plus increased the child benefit while lowering energy costs immediately. Trump is horrible.

Just want to say, pigs are actually quite nice, and intelligent……whereas Trump is possibly the worst thing that has ever happened to the US.
I am left in utter disbelief at his level of ignorance ,racism, and terrifying lack of caring for US citizens welfare . From down here in Australia ( where god knows we don’t have a good leader ourselves!) it seems like he can say or do almost anything and not only get away with it, but actually have – otherwise doubless kind and wise – people support the bastard.
Stay well everyone, be super vigilant despite his idiocy.

He is so delusioned if he thinks economy would bounce back just because people are at work. Even if people have to return to work no one is going to be buying things because they are going to be afraid of losing their jobs, no one is going to go shopping or watch entertainment when their families or neighbors start dying. What we could have curbed in 8-10 weeks will take months.
how come other countries are not worrying about economics above life?

I hate him so much, I wince everytime I see that he posted something.

100% agree. Both sides are behaving badly. Maybe this will help them see they can actually get things done if they work together. Probably wishful thinking though.

Trump is arrogant, obnoxious, egotistical — and RIGHT about the need to reopen the country sooner rather than later. Public health is tied to economic health. Losing jobs will result in people losing health insurance, losing their homes. The government is literally printing money to keep us going. Unsustainable. At some point the government won’t be able to pay out all the unemployment claims and keep Medicare and Medicaid going. A serious economic collapse will affect hospitals’ ability to function. Public health is tied to economic health.
We do need to take steps to slow the spread but the extreme measures we have taken ? We cannot continue them for months or the cure will be worse than the disease. Trump isn’t the only American trying to figure where the balance should be, and we have to stop treating people like monsters for asking the question how far do we go to save lives? We make those calculations every day. We could enact extreme measures, such as banning cars, that would prevent thousands of highway deaths, but we don’t. We all have a right to ask how far do we go and what costs will we accept in fighting Coronavirus.

The economy will mean nothing when everyone is dead.
