Every man is different.  Nobody in my group of friends had any clue their guy was going to propose when he did.  Looking back, we didn’t see any tell tale signs either.

Lol mine was not subtle. First, he became a total cheap-wad… which is 100% NOT how he normally is. Suddenly date night was subway and the park instead of dinner out and a movie. He started ranting about the price of bread… it was kind of hilarious 🙂 But, he knew I didn’t want him to finance a ring and he had a certain type of ring he wanted to buy me…. so he seriously cut costs and saved a ton to buy the ring in 3 mo.

No real “signs” here either – we had previously discussed our timeline, and he proposed within the time frame we decided together would be best for us to get engaged. He got nervous about five minutes before he proposed, but I don’t think that’s the kind of “sign” you’re hoping for. 🙂

How does your boyfriend normally act about surprises, gifts, etc.? His own actions will probably be similar – like emtheartist said, every guy is different!
