This is my first weddingbee post ๐Ÿ˜› I always read the forums here but have not made an official account until now!

Anyways, I don’t have my shoes yet but I think I am going to have a custom pair of shoes made from here: https://www.milkandhoneyshoes.com/

I love heels but I won’t be able to wear a 4 inch heel all night (and I’m just barely 5’3 so I want to keep my shoes on for as long as possible so I don’t look so shrimpy and so my dress doesn’t drag on the floor so much). This way, I get a shoe that’s unique to me (I’m designing outside of whats available on the ‘designer’ on the site…so it will be really one of a kind) and I get to choose my heel height, heel width, slingback, closed or peep toe etc. Plus I want to wear light pink shoes instead of white and I didn’t want to buy a shoe and dye it. This way I get the exact color I’m looking for as well.

Good luck on your shoe search!

Ugh finding shoes was one of the hardest wedding-related tasks! My fiance is 7″ taller than me, so I (theoretically) could’ve worn any shoes I wanted and I REALLY wanted to wear comfy flats or kitten heels. But hemming my dress would’ve been difficult and expensive and my dress is only about an inch and a half too long. I decided to suck it up and just find heels…

First I bought Caparros Heaven pumps, and they were SO comfy for this type of shoe, but they were too yellow and just didn’t go with the dress:

I ended up with these, which are a lot more practical, because our ceremony is outside:

They’re Bridal Party Fae wedges in Champagne.  I felt like they were really boring and plain, so I got some inexpensive pearl and rhinestone shoe clips at Davids Bridal to jazz them up.

@seven12 – Girl I really LIKE that wedge!!!

This is a timely thread for me because I have also been looking at shoes.  I want to wear purple/lilac colored ones and I am afriad to buy off line and get the wrong color…  So right now, I am looking mostly at dyeables (and they are NOT very comfortable IMHO)…

I think these are too cute and they are dyeable!

OR If I get brave and just go with the color:

I wore Nina Electra for the ceremony and almost died.  My feel swelled like a pregnant lady and the shoes were so tight and uncomfortable! The first thing I did afterwards was change into my reception wedges.  So glad I had them!

I admire you all for being able to wear heels. I’m probably going to wear these if my Maid/Matron of Honor will let me get away with it:

I know it probably looks silly and tacky but they’re comfy and will make for cute pictures ๐Ÿ™‚ I also have developmental dysplasia of the hip, basically it doesn’t fit in the socket, this means if I wear even kitten heels for 2 hours working on a play I can’t walk without limping after the show is over. I don’t want that to happen during/after the wedding!

What about a 4″ heel, too much?

These are mine and I feel amazing when they are on my feet.

Shoes have been the biggest pain so far.  I bought these

Well one was yellow and one was white.  I returned them but then they didn’t have another pair in my size.  So I bought these

They looked pretty but the heel was way too short. The place I bought it said it was 2″ but it was more like 1″.  So now I bought these

They’re supposed to be here tomorrow.  Hopefully they fit, are the right heel heights, and the right color.  I am afraid the heel is a little skinny for my outdoor wedding but I am having the hardest time finding cute shoes that aren’t a 4″ heel or higher.

I want to wear something flat and comfy.  I can’t wear heels.  I love the idea of and look of Converse, but whenever I’ve tried on Converse in a store I think they’re horribly uncomfortable!  Complete opposite of what I expect.  There’s no cushion in them whatsoever.

I decided against heels as I am terribly uncomfortable in them all the time… I was looking around for ballet flats and then I come across these shoes… They are a little pointy toed than I normally wear but they look good on and more importantly comfy hehe

Also my SO is only about 3-4cm taller than me so any heel would make me look too tall I think ๐Ÿ™‚

I have even told my BMs they can wear flats if they want thou my shortie wants to wear heels and the other 2 are unsure yet – I just want everyone (Esp. myself) to be comfortable as I don’t wanna be worried about my feeton such a special day ๐Ÿ™‚

@keishainlove – those lilac ones are SO COMFY. I have many in that brand (and sister brands – Menbur, Paco Mena and Avance) and all are super comfy!
