I don’t see how that dress could not give you a shape.  It looks like it would nip in at the waist very nicely.

Um, it’s like the most popular dress in the hive!

Go with whichever dress YOU feel like yourself in. Not everyone will like it. But You are wearing it. I bought a dress that 2 out of 6 people liked. And even at that, I don’t think they were WOWed.. I think it was a little understated for their expectations.. But I felt great in it. And I have no regrets. Good luck.

I LOVE that dress!  Its gorgeous.  I was soo excited to try that dress on… unfortunately when I did, it just didn’t flatter my shape.  Although that could have been because the only sample they had was several sizes too small for me! Frown

I agree with NatDawn, go with the dress that makes you happy.

Zippylef –

I have a confession – I’ve had 4 dresses. One was just a different size of the second dress, but… still. I was committed to the place where I bought the first one, so I had to do exchanges, and ended up settling on whatever the people around me were liking.

I then saw this dress online. I hunted everywhere for it, and eventually found it in a little store in Brooklyn. I tried it on by myself (without anyone even knowing I was there) and fell in love. Then, without anyone else’s approval, I bought it. This is the dress of my dreams, and I couldn’t be happier. When I went to my fitting with my mom, Future Mother-In-Law, and both grandmothers, they all loved it. I tried it on for my bridesmaids, and they loved it, too!

Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that you should do what you love, because you’ll end up second guessing anything else. And don’t buy anything without thinking about it for at least a week! 🙂
