Okay. These are the last 2 dresses I’ve narrowed it down too.
I posted pics yesterday of me in the S&M Mae.
Here is another dress that I love, I’m just not sure if I love the dress on me. I feel like it does something really funny at my hips and accentuates my big hips rather than minimize them. But I love the bead work of the dress and I love, love, love the back of the dress. It is a little bit more elaborate than the S&M Mae.
The first 3 pics are the S&M Mae and the last 4 pics are the CB 1985.
Which one looks best on me?
S&M Mae or CB 1985?
And be brutally honest…not about what you think of the dress but how you think it fits my body, PLEASE!!!

I prefer the first one, the S&M Mae. But yes, the Casablanca is lovely.

I like both of them on you, but the first one looks like it fits you better and I love the neckline. I would like the second one better if it was altered to not pull in the wrong places and if the neckline was changed.

Your butt looks great in the Casablanca!

I like both on you as well, but I think they are both too snug in the hips and thighs. Have you tried sitting down in them?

I love the honesty. Keep it coming!!
I have not tried sitting down in them, but I think the Mae would be easier to sit down in because the it starts flaring mid-hip whereas the 1985 flares below my butt.
Maybe I should just stop trying on dresses for a few months while I get my hips/thighs/butt in shape and then I won’t feel like I look so hip-y in some of the fit and flare styles!

I love the S&M Mae on you. I just think it is a beautiful dress, and I feel like it is more timeless (which I think is what you said you were looking for?)

Both are lovely but I prefer the first dress on you 🙂

I like the S&M Mae design, but it’s a little low cut for my tastes (though I’m a little crazy about making sure the girls are completely covered). I would just want it to be like an inch or so higher.
The Casablanca does make you look taller. I’m not sure if this is a concern for you or not.
If you’re worried about your hips/thighs/butt, I think the Casablanca makes your hips/thighs/butt look smaller.

You look so great in both of them that it’s hard for me to have a preference! The bustline on the first one is so flattering, but I LOVE the beading on the second one, it is so pretty. I usually hate beading, but it’s because it looks like it’s placed there without rhyme or reason, but this one actually has beading forming a lovely pattern.
If I had to pick, I’d say the Sotter & Midgley is my preference on you. It might just have been the undergarments you were wearing in the Casablanca, but that one seems less flattering from behind, and the first one is SO flattering to your bustline, plus I love the tiny corset in the back, it seems simultaneously sweet and sexy. But like I said, I think you look great in both and I don’t think you could go wrong with either!

Yes. I agree the S&M looks low, but it is big so it was sitting lower than it should be when it is in my size.
You really think CB makes my hips look smaller? I thought different.
I have not been dress shopping with anyone yet so I guess once my Maid/Matron of Honor and mom go with me, they can answer all my body/dress issues.

While the S&M might be easier to move around it, I agree that the Casablanca makes your butt and hips look a lot smaller. It definitely gets my vote!

I think the first dress is pretty but it’s too booby for my tastes, lol. The second one looks SMASHING from behind–slims you and shows off the beautiful beading!
Is there a way to alter the second one to have a slight sweetheart neckline?

I think the second one is more flattering to your figure. The beading around and just below the waistline look better than the plain/flat front. You DO NOT have a tummy at all, but that first one makes you look a little like you do. Maybe it’s just the camera (?) but I just think the second dress eliminates any sign of that!!!!

I think you look awesome in both of them! I love the way the hug your curves. They are equally gorgeous but if I just HAD to choose one it would be the 2nd one. What can I say, I’m a bling type of girl!
