I’m always interested to know what recently married brides have to say about things. What was the stuff that you stressed about and totally wasn’t worth it,or what totally stressed you out but was worth it. Or, alternately, what stuff was completely amazing and you didn’t even think or know it would be? Or what stuff turned out not so great and you didn’t know or think it would. What do you wish you could’ve done without and what stuff do you wish you had in retrospect. I guess I’m just wondering what stuff I should really concentrate on and what stuff isn’t as important. Afterall, it’s about marrying the guy I love right? Thanks for any advice and info guys!

Keep your budget as low as possible. Whether you spend $2,000, $20,000, or $200,000, you will have a wonderful day and be surrounded by love.

I am so, so glad we went out of our way to make sure our guests were well taken care of. Meaning spent more on the food, drinks, photobooth, things that actually affected how fun the wedding was instead of just the look. It was pretty too, but the things people commented on (and still have a few weeks later) were about how much fun they had, how great the food was, etc.
As far as the little details, I know everyone always says no one else will notice so don’t bother, and I do think that’s good advice for some people. But if you are the type of person that appreciates those things or does them for other parties (I go all out for my daughter’s birthdays, I couldn’t not for the wedding), you will notice and it will make you happy. Do what you have time for but don’t stress if you don’t get to everything done.
