- Wedding: September 2011 - Bent Creek Winery (Livermore, California); Reception: Family Residence (San Ramon, California)
I would have said somewhere between 26-30. Definitely the later half of my 20s. I’m still kind of shocked that I got married at 25. I feel too young to have a husband! But when you mean your person and you’ve been together for many years, it doesn’t make sense to keep waiting because your younger self had different ideas about where you’d be. That’s life, I guess. 🙂

I totally thought I’d get married at 27 (no clue WHY 27!) but by the time we get married, I will be 28.
We were thinking about getting married THIS September, but have since decided to wait until June to save up more money… if it would have been September, I would have been 27 – but June it is and I’ve realized it really doesn’t matter! 🙂

I didn’t know how old I wanted to be when I got married, I just knew I wanted to be married young (of course with the right timing and the right man). It happened and I couldn’t be happier.

I thought I’d get married around 27. My mother engrained into my head: school, degree, job, marriage. In that order. I was engaged at 20, graduated at 21, married at 22, and got a career-oriented job after we got married. I’m still shocked I got married so early, but then all of my friends would say the opposite. Oh well. We’re happy. the end.

I figured it would be mid to late 20s. I got married at 28 and turned 29 a month later.

I thought I would be in my thirties–probably early thirties. My mom didn’t get married until she was 40 (my dad was 30, haha go mom!) so I never felt rushed to get married young. I NEVER would have imagined that I would be engaged at 23 and married at 25, but I also never imagined I would still be with the guy I started dating at 16! Funny how life is–you never know WHAT is going to happen!

I thought I was going to be a young married mom and was pretty sure I had it all figured out…now I laugh when I think how different life would be. I’m 24 and will be married at 25.

I always figured the summer after I graduated college– so 22.
Now I’m finishing my MA and considering this summer… 24? We’ll see!

I’m exactly on par with what I thought actually- which makes sense in a way, since I planned it around a career trajectory that I’ve had since middle school and haven’t really wavered from. I just count myself as super lucky that I met the right guy within this time frame I guess- in fact, in a way it’s kind of crazy that I got it right before i even knew him 🙂

I was always hoping to be married by the time I was 23-25. My sister got married at 23 so of course that made me think of that age. I got married at 27 though which seems perfect and wasn’t too much of a difference.

I thought I would find my husband while in college…and when I graduated college single, I thought he must surely be around the corner. I remember I bought a full sized mattress right out of college, you know, since me and my future hubby weren’t going to fit on a twin. LOL. I never even had a serious boyfriend, though, until I was 25…and that was a disaster. Funny, because I never actually imagined marrying him while we were dating. I realized then that I didn’t really want/need to get married. Luckily we broke up and then I met my husband…and it didn’t take long for me to realize I DID want to get married…it’s just I’d not wanted to marry that other dude. I was 32 on my wedding day…and I’m glad that I didn’t get married in college or right out of college, because I was not ready then.

I honestly always thought I would be 30-35. I ended up getting married at 23. Even when I met DH at age 19 or 20, I still had it in my mind that it would be him, just that we would be thirty. I have no idea why, though.

I always thought I would be around 25 or 26. Once I met my SO that went completely out the window haha, we’ll be 23 when we get married (:

I thought I would be about 28/29 when I got married – I was 25! I never thought I would get married before the age I thought, I had thought if anything it would be later but having been together since we were 17, it felt like time!
