cards and pockets or paper source are great resources…. they both sell pearlescent envelopes….

Just and FIY if you are going to be using an inkjet printer to print addresses on them, go with cards and pockets. They absorbe the ink better

I don’t really know that anyone can say what you are doing wrong, but have you considered getting a paper cutter. Something like this:

It seems like it would be hard to mess up if you did that. Even for the folding part you could score more easily against the edge of the stand.

I agree with PP.  The right tools get the job done!  I hope you are practicing on scrap paper!

These are essential tools:

  • Paper cutter – cuts straight lines
  • Scoreboard – crisp and straight lines
  • Envelope kit – if all else fails but the envelope kit from Paper Source, save yourself the grief!

Check out You Tube as well.  Tons of videos on folding your own envelopes.  Good luck!

Get the envelope guide from Paper Source.  It will save you the grief!  Or take an envelope apart and use it as a template.

Envelope Template from Papersource is a great tool. I used it for mine and it helped keep them all the same shape/size. And it comes with templates for all of their sizes.
