Ok, I’m getting married in 25 days and have started to freak out. I know that something will be forgotten, there’s nothing we can do about it since we are having a destination wedding. So, My question is to you newlyweds:: what was the ONE thing you forgot or wish you had done different?

Ha! I forgot a bunch of things. I forgot my something old, I know that for sure. Also, I never took my veil out because I was too afraid it would mess up my hair, but I really wish I had some pictures without it now. Other than that I don’t remember the specifics of too many things, but the day after the wedding when I was mentally going back through the day I realized a few things hadn’t gone as planned. My actual wedding day though everything just rolled off my back. Very unusual for me since I’m very type A. Try not to worry too much and just enjoy the fruits of your planning!

Thanks Eastcoastrunner! I’ve come to the conclusion that this is our wedding. It’s a day for ME AND Fiance, and noone else. I’m super happy that our friends and family are celebrating with us but at the end of the day, noone will notice the small details and it’s for me, so if something gets messed up, so what?!

I forgot petals for the flower girl baskets! I remembered at the rehearsal and by that point I decided they could just walk down the aisle holding their bouquets. We had petals pre-laid on the aisle runner anyway.

If you are not checking into a hotel room until after the wedding, make sure that you leave your wallet wherever you will remember it. My sister convinced me to move my wallet out of my clutch and put it in one of my other bags. And then we got to the hotel to check in and my wallet (with the gift cards to pay for the hotel room) had gone in a different bag!

LOL- we forgot to put out our favor boxes! Can’t believe it! We were going to put them out after dinner… and we forgot 🙂
The only other thing we had trouble with was our photo slideshow- we made it on Windows 7, and only one computer at the venue recognized it, so we got lucky in the end! Our DJ said the one thing that could have made it easier was to have it on a jump drive instead of the DVD and CD I had put it on.

i know this sounds crazy… but i didn’t forget anything! i was very surprised and proud of myself. we have an empty guest room that became wedding storage, so i put all wedding stuff in one area of the room so we’d remember it. also, i gave lists to people that needed to bring things- mostly my mom- because she was in charge of my dress, veil, shoes, flowers, and favors.
i think the one thing that i wish i did was tell my photographer to take some specific photos that i wanted. he did an amazing job and captured a lot, but he had no way of knowing exactly what i wanted because i never told him.

@Lemondrop == I’m a secretary at a school where students are CONSTANTLY coming to me to convert their home (windows 7) files to the schools windows 03 files! I’ve come to the conclusion that no matter what I do, save as, PPT 03 or Word 03! It’s happened too many times to myself as well…. LOL
