I’m actually looking forward to getting my life back haha!  There are several “self improvement” projects that I have unofficially put on hold for the time being, including:

– Learning to speak Spanish

– Mastering some really hard piano songs

– Getting back into landscape photography

– Decorating my living room and bedroom

– Collecting novels by some of my favorite authors

We planned our honeymoon 4 months after the wedding, I hope that helps a little bit Laughing We’re also going to be looking to buy a house directly after the wedding (we currently own the townhouse we live in. We’ll have to sell it before we buy anything.) After the Honeymoon we’re going to start for kids, I’ll be 31 and FH will be 33.

I hope those are large enough distractions Tongue out

I was still on here quite a bit for a while.  Now I have a new job and I’m finishing up my masters so that is keeping me busy.

Personally, I am so glad all the wedding stuff is done and FH has moved in.  IF you are missing wedding stuff, there is still lots of wedding to-dos after the fact- I got my bouquet preserved, looking at pictures, designing albums and picking prints, learning to use wedding gifts, preserving dress, etc.  But the up-side- less family drama, more time to spend with less to worry about, working on decorating the house but far fewer deadlines.

I am beyond busy. With teaching, social activites, and running an animal sanctuary, I rarely have time to even watch TV. Yeah I loved being engaged but I hated wedding planning and now, almost 11 months later, I do not miss the hassle in the least.

uhh,  7 months after the wedding and I’m still here. Becoming a hostess, really got me to keep coming back.

I actually like having the free time after the wedding.  The wedding planning was stressing me out so I’m so glad that is over.

I was getting my masters before the wedding and I did take a semester off for the wedding but now I’m back to school. 🙁

Now, it’s wifey things like decorating the apartment, taking weekend trips to sight see.  Oh, travelling!!!  We are traveling before we have children.

We’ve been married for a few weeks now – I can honestly say I’m bummed that is over but glad also!  I still feel busy though!  It tooks us a while to get all our gifts unpacked, apartment clean, everything put away – recipets & papers filed etc.  We’re working on thank you letters now.  We’ve exchanged/returned gifts and generally cleaned MOST of the wedding crap away.  I’ve still got to sell some stuff, preserve my dress & such.  Writing reviews of vendors and paying all the bills, changing my name, getting our new checking account, updating everything with new details has been all time consuming!!

After it all finally gets done I’m going to scrapbook all the stuff I’ve saved, work out more, go back to yoga, maybe hang out with friends finally!  I can’t wait to cook more, use our new kitchen gadgets and learn to be a good wife!

@xxjessmicaxx: Oh my gosh I feel the exact same way. I love planning and looking at little details (and trust me I was reluctant to start planning at first). I suppose I can still do a lot of the little craft projects I fell in love with but won’t get around to before my wedding (like fabric flowers and clutches).

Aside from that I imagine I’ll start to work on my scrapbooks again (which I’ve abandoned for over a year) and start to redecorate our guest rooms.

I definitely feel like I’ll be a little sad to not have something to plan for but luckily I won’t have to wait too long for the winter holidays and all the planning that comes along with them.
