So, our tiny wedding is coming up quickly and I feel so unprepared! We’re getting married in Austin, TX (we live about 3 hrs away) on March 29th at 3pm in the backyard of this house we’ve rented for the weekend. We wanted something small, where we could be in the moment, with just us and our two kids (13 and 4). I have my dress, shoes, bouquets, boutoniers, daughter’s dress, decor (paper streamers from Etsy, banner with our names and wedding date, along with a “Love Won!” banner for all four of us to hold for “elopement” announcement), rings, officiant, photographer, and have booked a hair appt for my daughter and I that morning.
I know I still need whatever outfit my four-year old is wearing (kakhis, button down??) and to order a small cake for afterwards. Still need to work on our vows and the flow of the ceremony. Oh…and some music (just something for background–nothing formal). What am I missing??? The whole point in keeping things small was to reduce stress, but I’m stressing thinking I’ve missed something important. lol
I’ve attached some photos to give you an overall feel for what we’re doing. Throw out anything I haven’t thought of, please!

Jealous!! That sounds super sweet and I would love to have something that intimate. The only thing I really thought of was food, too!

Marriage license? (Not sure what the requirements are in Texas)
Witnesses? Unless your photographer is pulling double duty there. Your kids are too young to sign for you.
An iPod and speakers should be fine for your ceremony.
Does your FH have something to wear yet?
Are you making dinner reservations for afterwards?
I think you probably got everything.

- Wedding: August 2013 - Rocky Mountains USA
Undergarments? Lighting & extension cords (if you’ll be there late)? Caketopper? Arch or ceremony backdrop?
I love all your decor and the site is beautiful!!

Thanks for reminding me–we need to find a suitable place to eat after our ceremony (one that includes chicken fingers along with something for the adults). 🙂

yes, the marriage license we need to get at least 72 hours before the ceremony. I’ll schedule time for that next week. I believe the photographer will be able to pull double-duty. Ipod and speakers: check, clothing for FH: check, just need dinner reservations.
Thanks for reading and commenting!

Thank you! I was just showing my fiance’ your beautiful photos this weekend! 🙂 I did forget undergarments, as well as whatever jewelry I’m going to wear. Thinking of a simple cameo pendant for the necklace, not sure on the earrings. Ordered the cake topper Monday–on its way, and as far as backdrop. Thinking of a DIY fabric streamer. Have some work to do this weekend! haha
