snowflake8 :  What are you forgetting? Relax! Try your best to relax. Stressing won’t help. I know, easier said then done.

Carseat check? I have been doing some major cleaning too so that everything is nice and clean/organized. Health insurance for baby? Make sure all family members have had their Tdap shot. Maybe pick birth announcements? 

Hmmm, I can’t think of anything else! I’m scheduled to be induced in 2 weeks and in the same boat – trying to think of anything I can do to make things easier when he’s here!

snowflake8 :  pediatrician, life insurance, breast pump, fmla/ short term disability claim paperwork if in US, hospital registration, daycare registration (though if I recall, you’re planning on being a sahm, right?)

I agree – relax! Also, birth doesn’t always go as planned and that’s not a bad thing. Keep an open mind.

You can start taking evening primrose capsules. My midwife

recommended taking them orally and putting one up by your cervix each evening. They release prostaglandins and help ripen the cervix. They are also supposed to help skin elasticity to reduce tearing and stretch marks from happening.

snowflake8 :  It sounds like you’re really well prepared! I’d add spending quality time with your husband or friends before your life gets turned upside down. Perhaps reading up on breastfeeding and  (Kellymom is a great website for breastfeeding info) and infant sleep/care (Happiest Baby on the Block and Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child are both good resources). You can also drink Red Raspberry Leaf tea. It tastes good, IMO, and helps tone the uterus to prepare for birth. My midwives highly recommended it. Does this mean you aren’t having a scheduled C-section? Either way, best of luck and try to enjoy your last few weeks of pregnancy!
