We’re getting married September 6 (12 weeks!!!), set the date and booked the venue LAST September, a year in advance.  FMIL booked a trip to Europe this past March with 2 FSILs who are also bridesmaids- they leave at the end of this month and aren’t returning until AUGUST 10.  This has left me only 2 available weekends to host my bridal shower (because having it when they’re gone would make me look awful).  Also, Future Mother-In-Law dragged her feet in ordering the girls’ bridesmaids dresses, so they’re not going to arrive until after they leave, which means they won’t be able to get sent to alterations until 3 weeks before the day.

ALSO- fiance’s cousin on mom’s side just got married in May.  His wife told me that half the people on that side of the family didn’t even RSVP, so she gave her Mother-In-Law (my fiance’s aunt- who’s also going on the trip) the job of tracking down her family who didn’t respond to get the rsvp’s.  Now with all them being gone right when invitations will be going out and not returning until after the RSVP deadline I will have no idea how to track down the people on their side who don’t respond (all of them are in LA, we’re in SF).  It’s such a mess

Well we just found out that our rehearsal space, one of the only places we found that could hold reservations for 20+ in niagara falls in the summer, and loved the food, just had a huge fire and wont be open until December!!

Ahh back to the drawing board and our wedding is only a month away and not many places in Niagara Falls, because its so busy, allow reservations, especially for our large group size….ahhh!

I am six day s out now. Ahhhh. We had a friend set up to DJ our wedding, and she assured us that would have a digital system by our wedding, she spind cd’s now. 2 weeks out she is emailing my fiance to burn her CD’s of our music. We found a new DJ who is fully digital and head great reviews on wedding wire, backed by the BBB and had a reasonable price. We got lucky!

Our venue double-booked our date, and our photographer went MIA- luckily I found out 6 months out and was able to book someone else, but I lost $1000. Better than the brides who booked her and haven’t received photos, though. But both issues have resolved themselves and no other bad luck yet…
