I’ve seen a few unique ideas for asking your girls to be your bridesmaids, and I really want to do something memorable that they’ll love & will make them feel appreciated. What are some of the best “Will you be my bridesmaid?” ideas you’ve seen?

I love the Ring Pop idea, i’m sad I didn’t do anything cute.

I didn’t do anything for my girls but my friend sent us cookies

I had cupcakes made to “pop the question”. I went with a new bakery so I wasn’t thrilled with the quality but I imagine fitting a 5-7 word sentance on a cupcake is easier said than done. It still got the point across…

LOL…I bought each of my girls chocolate and a planner. I met with them individually and then sweetly asked if they’d be in my wedding as I had the chocolates in my hand. Once they said yes and hugged on me, I handed them the planner in which I had put post it notes everywhere (I used post-its so they could remove them and actually use the planners later for their important dates/events). The post-its had silly “bridezilla-type” items that I expected them to do each month. Example: 1)Day before wedding, wash my car and my hubby’s dog. 2)Stand in for soloist for practice and sing the bridal entrance song 3)pick up all guests from the airport 4)Assist us in losing weight by participating in the insanity program. LOL…I even had things for them to do after the wedding like “write and send out all of our thank-you cards while we are on our honeymoon.
1 of my bridesmaids thought we were serious and was like sure sure whatever you guys want. My husband’s sister, said…forget this, you can have the chocolate back, I don’t want to be in your wedding anymore. It was a great laugh. LOL

@Birdee106: so funny! I was just going to write that! I did the dress cards with the actual dress fabric for the girls and also popped the question on my knee in busy places for some of the girls. It was so funny because people cheered and clapped for us like we were getting married. 🙂

I am only having 3 girls and I named them all my “Matron’s of Honor”..They all technically knew they were going to be in the wedding but I wanted to do something extra for them.. I grew up with all three of them so, I gathered some pictures from when we were young and some through out our friendship and I made each of them little scrapbooks..on the very last page I asked if they would be my matron of honor. I did include some other words in the beginning of the book about friendship and stuff and at the end before I asked, but I can’t remember what I wrote! I gave all of them the book around christmas time so they just assumed it was another gift until they saw the last page.. they were all very touched by it!

I gave them each a few gifts: Coffee mug, ornate note pad and a 24-page photo album filled with picutres of us throughout the years– with the last one being a cartoon of a bride and bridesmaid photoshopped with our faces. I know they all loved their albums!! 🙂

I photoshopped pictures of us making hilarious faces onto the bodies of the girls from the movie poster for “Bridesmaids” and framed it. I put “Will You Be My…” at the top with the “Bridesmaids” movie title at the bottom and replaced the date the movie was coming to theaters with the wedding date. They loved them.

I made each one a tissue paper bouquet and a card asking them. The card had their favorite Disney princess on the outside, and a poem on the inside asking if they will be my bridesmaid.
