I’m doing stamps for our save the date and probably our invites! We are making our own from a design Fiance made in photoshop and then carving it using a stamp making kit for $13.50. It’s a little time consuming, but I’ve easily been able to finish it over the past two days whenever I’ve had free time. We bought paper at Paper Source (A6 flat cards to make postcards) that were $3.50 for a 25 pack, plan on purchasing a little roller for even ink distribution that usually runs $3.25, and then I’ll be getting a vintage letter stamp creator to use for addresses. I’m super excited about them!! Here is our stamp all carved out and a rough idea of what it will look like (also the date isn’t on there yet because silly Fiance put the date as Sep 9th instead of Sep 7th, so we are carving that seperately):

@ThisDeluxeLife:  Thanks! Another option I’ve seen that is a bit more expensive but less time consuming, is having a stamp made from rubberstamps.net.

I got my idea from Pinterest…. tile magnet Save the Dates.

Ordered a personalized stamp with our names/date online, got 2″X2″ travertine tiles from Home Depot, bought a cute owl stamp, ink, clear sealant spray stuff, gorilla glue, and magnets from AC Moore, and voila!

Not all of them came out perfect, and some of the tiles had darker markings or bigger pits in them, but I love the imperfection of them! 🙂

Here’s another but with black name/date, and before I colored in the hearts and flower…

If you live in an area where you can collect wood, we are DYI-ing the following Save-The-Date Cards:

From Etsy seller:

And this is our stamp we ordered ($17), but I haven’t actually put it on my wood slice yet:

Sorry for the large pictures.
