I’m really enjoying this site because It’s hard to vent to friends who are either single or enganged. They don’t really understand my frustration in waiting on being engaged so badly!

So I love reading up on other people’s stories/tales as I know I’m not crazy for wanting something so badly. It’s a great support as well to be able to post your frustrations without being labeld as “Bridezilla” just because I want to get married.

I am loving this site even though I am fairly new 🙂

People have called me out on my own jealous behaviour. I actually really appreciate the reality check. Sometimes its important to be told “your relationship moves at its own pace so its not for you to be jealous of others”

I do appreciate that often.

edit- sorry, didn’t see that this was only for “waiting” bees– I just follow the main updates page and don’t look at the tags for threads.

I work at a small (6 person office) and most of the time I’m by myself and most evenings you’ll find me at home hanging out with my SO. I don’t get a lot of people interaction on a daily basis, the bees (though I can’t see or hear you) give me some much needed human contact. Sometimes I get home and am really talkative and talk my guy’s ear off because I don’t do it all day! So, the bees help me stay in touch!

After reading my response, it kinda sounds sad, it’s not like I’m a withered recluse in a corner somewhere though, I swear!

@Leelee26:  Lol I feel similarly to you! The other girl in my office is nearing retirement, so it’s nice to have the Bees who are closer in age to talk to!  I can relate to a lot of people here better than I can any of my coworkers!

@bookworm88:  agreed! It’s great to get nice ideas about cooking and cruise the Lounge/NWR with some of my favorite also-now-married ladies.

I’m sure in the future it’ll move along more toward reading about other ladies’ home-buying experiences and TTC.

all very positive effects!

WB has made me realize that I’m totally normal.  When I was waiting, I was obsessive!  It helped to have WB to keep me occupied.  And then, wedding planning has brought the crazy out of my family.  Having the ladies on WB to vent to and others to sympathize with helps keep my sanity in check.  WB also helps me kill some time at work.  hehe.

[Edit: Just realized that this was for “waiting bees”…Oops!]

WB helps me because I don’t have any friends who are even in a relationship merely close to engagement. They have no idea what is feels like to be waiting and sometimes I felt like I was crazy.

WB showed me that if wanting a ring from the love of your life is wrong, then I don’t want to be right 🙂

I love coming on and just getting advice from a slew of different girls from all different areas, backrounds, financial positions and everything because it really helps you see what the average person thinks and helps you make smarter decisions.

Plus I wouldnt have ever learned that dying my slip blue was a possibility, I had never seen it before wedding bee so I did it and love it and can’t wait o wear it as my something blue as I go down the aisle and not to mention for pictures!

I love all of the topics, its a one stop place for any life advice on any topic. I came looking for support as a proposal nears and have found support with fitness too!

I’ve learned SO much about weddings! And received a lot of valuable input!

One thing is that SO and I want a summer wedding (no rain!) so we talked about getting married in July. The girls here helped me realize that if I don’t want everyone to be drenched in sweat and uncomfortable, we’d better forget about the inland estate that we wanted and opt for a wedding near the beach instead.

I learned about moissanite. I think it’s beautiful and I’ve made that clear to him. Honestly, the more and more negativity I see about moissy, the more I research it, and the more I’m impressed. SO said he’d be willing to maybe take a look at the Amora Gem. Eeeek! So sparkly.
