@MsMindle: You are so sweet! Oh yes, it feels amazing to be accepted by such a wonderful family! 🙂 Instead of worrying about her, I can focus on the ones who show their love to me and my new husband.
I’ve got the finest hair, like duck-fuzz fine! haha 🙂 I seriously think it’s the same texture now as it was when I was 5! That’s why I rock the curly ‘do most of the time 🙂 woooo, plumping/volumizing products!

We’ve received so many “happy notes” on ours from friends that we look forward to what crazy thing we’ll find on a RSVP next! The best ones were:
- One friend taped a someecard on the back that said “Being married means having a best friend that never remembers anything you say” We hung it on the fridge and refer to it anytime the other one hasn’t listened to what the other said! LOL!
- Another friend’s dog got ahold of it and she drew an arrow and said “the dog wants to come too!”
- Another friend wrote this whole disclaimer on the envelope because she had touched coconut oil and if anyone was allergic they shouldn’t touch it. (She’s a doctor)

We had a section for menu selection, and guests could check if they wanted the buffet, which had meat, or a vegan/vegeterian dinner. My brother-in-law crossed off both options and wrote in that he wanted unicorn meat.

@FluffyFTW: That’s amazing. XD

these are great!! My RSVP response card read M_______ and then you checked either accepts with pleasure or declines with regret. my two friends dean & kyle (a gay couple) crossed out the word “pleasure” and wrote “our cocks” which doesnt even make sense but i found it hilarious! they also wrote “F*ck yeah!” in the upper right hand corner.

@Brielle: @Fairy Penguin:
we told her that unfortunately our caterer couldn’t do that. She grumbled and chose the pasta and yelled that it shouldn’t have any cheese under any circumstances. she’s not allergic. just super picky. We instructed the caterer not to put any cheese on it and they assured us they wouldn’t, (and I trust they didn’t). But after the wedding we heard through the grapevine that she didn’t eat her pasta because she was convinced it had cheese, (it didn’t!).

one of my RSVP’s put under dietary requirements…
“we cannot eat any goats or unicorns”
and another said
“Meat, I love Meat”
Haven’t had anything else random or insulting though

- Wedding: July 2012 - The Gables Inn, Santa Rosa, CA
I had 1 cousin who RSVPed yes for him, his wife and 2 daughters, then 2 days before the wedding sent me a FB message saying that he had to work overtime on a project, and thus the whole family wouldn’t be coming… I was a little hurt, but I politely replied that they would be missed.
I found out later the reason they didn’t come was because my cousin & his brother (another guest) had a falling out several months prior, and the brother announced on FB (which I missed) that he intended to confront his brother about their “issues” at the wedding. I am so thankful for my cousin for gracefully bowing out– I would have been so upset if my wedding had turned into a family feud.

We haven’t gotten any wacky ones yet, but our invites have been out only a week and a half or so. This thread sure makes me glad I numbered them, though! My newlywed friends told me to do that, and at the time I thought they were wacky but I did it anyway, and I get the feeling I’ll be glad I did!
On the M______ line, my mom wrote “M om and [stepdad]”. I was like really? But she’s a wackadoodle.

This thread is great – I keep checking for more interesting RSVPs!! If i wasn’t having people RSVP via website I would DEFINITELY be numbering the cards!!

it never ends!
Got one today
(M) Lyndsey & guest 26
26 was the number on the back of the RSVP card!

the most touching note was from my dad’s 89 year old cousin; she is a very sweet person and I know she would never be able to come because of health issues, but I invite her to everything because I want her to know we always want her there. she wrote a beautiful note declining, and she is happy for us and if this was 5 years ago she would have been right up front! She is sort of a family historian and always send cards with stories of family members and because of her, I have one of the few pictures of my dad’s mom, who was already passed when my parents met (my dad looks just like his mom, too)

Wow !!! Really some of these are so funny and some are amazingly hurtful wtf is right so sorry to those that had a crazy reaction in a mean way hugs go out to you

Oh my goodness, some of these are crazy and make mine look tame!
I did get one back from a friend who I was hoping would come, with a “no”, and a note on the back telling me that it was the same day as her sister’s wedding. The kicker? Her sister is already married…she had a quickie wedding before her fiance deployed and is now planning a large full wedding the same day as me.
We’ve had a lot of people write little “we’re excited” notes on them!

@ziggy86: that sounds like her invite got lost in the post!
