I think it’s a very pretty dress, but imo, that can be a tough color to pull off. I know I’d look washed out in that shade.

To answer your question, I think the best colors for bridesmaid dresses are ones that are universally flattering (if you’re choosing only one color). Otherwise, I’d suggest picking a color range and allowing the BMs to choose the color that’s most flattering on them.

It’s a very pretty color. It really depends on what your BMs look like. I personally think I look best in blue and would love it, but not everyone looks good in the same colors, so ask them for their honest opinions. I really wanted a shade of teal or turquoise for my BMs and all 6 agreed that a dark teal looked great on everybody.

I don’t know about that shade of blue. I agree with Mrs Grape. That may not be the most flattering shade on everyone, but like galloway111 said, it all depends on your girls.

Typically, I think darker shades tend to look best on all types of people. My colors are navy and apple green and my girls are wearing navy. it’s such a flattering color on all of them!

And as far as price goes, you can typically get a great dress for under $200. Mine were $175.

I honestly think black is the best color for bridesmaids. EVERYONE looks good in black. Plus, you have the best chance of rewearing a black dress.

Navy blue looks good on all skin tones and is slimming, like black, but not so harsh. Budget depends on what they can afford but I don’t think they should be spending more than $200.00 including shoes.

I like the blue you’ve chosen. Is that a color you’ll be using throughout your wedding? That part may be more difficult to find than the dress.

The budget should be whatever amount you can afford (in the UK you’re buying them, right?) If you love it and after seeing the fabric in person (or have them send a swatch) and the quality is OK, it sounds like a decent price to me!

If you like the color then I would say go for it. I personally chose deep purple for my girls, if I would not have went with purple I would have chose black. I’m a darker shade person because I think they look better on more people with different skin tones and body shapes. Whatever you choose will be beautiful!

I think darker colors are always more flattering (and more wearable) for most people.  What about a darker, more Navy, sapphire type blue for your girls?

I really like that dress.  I think the color choice is just whatever you decide.  Our colors are fucshia, green, and white, with all of the girls in fucshia and all of the guys in green.  The guys have something against wearing pink, lol.  As far as the budget, all of my girls were fine with anything under $200.  Plus, the bridal shop allowed them to make payments so that will be good if you have a while before your wedding date.

I really like that color, but I’m biased.  The dresses I ended up choosing were just a tad darker, but I think it’s a great choice of dress!
