You should just name your puppy Bones if you really like it. My dog’s name (Finn) was original when I gave it to him ten years ago, but there are dogs with his name all over the place now. (In fact, the cavalier king charles that lives just across the street from me is also named Finn. I was somewhat annoyed  by it at first, but I got over it very quicky … and now the two of them best friends!)

Colormepink:  My dog is a Rolo as well! We didn’t pick his name as he already had it at the shelter, but I think it’s the best name for a dog ever. He’s caramel like yours with a stripe of white down his belly.

I had a neighbor growing up that had a cat named Hemorrhoid because it was a pain in the you know what. Not that you want to go copying that one, but i still think ity was a hilariously awesome name.

One of my cats is named Madame Trash Heap, after my favorite Fraggle Rock character. 🙂 We usually just call her Heap, but occasionally she’s Madame Trash when she’s feeling fancy.

I love using people names for dogs. Especially old lady or old man names. Throw on a “Lord” “Sir” or “Lady” title, and it’s even better!

That, or weird object names. Bone is cool!

We were going along the lines of mega, terra, nano, giga… Because fi is big into computers and it would be fun to say Mega Byte! As a joke… (Obviously we would never encourage our dog to bite anyone, nor would we allow her to.) we ended up getting the runt of the litter who was about half the size of all her other littermates. We named her Nano.

Here she is with her siblings… Shes the little one sitting on her own

A little bit older:

My cats name is mr. Darcy (which was extra funny a decade later when my sister married a “mr. Darcy”.  My dogs name is Bennett , aka benny.  Both are from pride and prejudice.
