Some one I used to know named their cat Salsa. I thought it was the best thing ever.

dv3849: I think so Brain, but what should we do with all the Q-tips?

For OP: we named our small cat Digby (after where we have our cottage) and people really like it. However, I once published a photo of him while referring to him as “Little Lord Digby of Fort Perrier” and that one stuck. So many of our friends keep calling him Lord Digby.

Just like you, people seem to like the fancy prefix. Perhaps you can pick a name that goes well with either Lord of Sir? While Lady feels a little too much Sansa Stark in my book…

My family has a weird habit of giving pets (usually cats) a first and middle name with the family name as the last name. It’s so ridiculous but funny. A cat I found in high school and my sister and niece have now is Milo Eugene Otis Lastname (…I don’t know why he has two middle names). My Darling Husband and I have had our cat for almost 4 years and his name is Kenji Horatio Lastname. When we get a dog, it’ll depend on the way it acts, but I really want to name a dog Brussels.

My older sister once had a cat named George Catstanza (from Seinfeld) and it was hilarious…though he was a super mean cat.

Abner! But, I am biased. My dog did come with that name though.

Someday I will have a dog named Potato.

We had a cat named Foodbar.

Finnigan! His mom’s name was Finnigan as well. I read a pp that said Finn was an uncommon name 10 years ago, but our dog is 11 and half his brothers and sisters were also named Finn, so I haven’t found that to be true. We also call him Old Man Finnigan and Mr. Finnigan.
