We have a mix of ‘usual’ and non-usual. We call each other babs a lot, mostly just through texts. I forget where it started, but I think it’s from a show or movie we watched haha.

When we were like 17 I started calling him honey bunches of oates (No idea why) and so then he started calling me honey dew melon lol. We also use the standard ‘sweetie’ ‘honey’ ‘cutie’ nicknames.

But he also takes me name which ends in an ‘a’ and replaces it with an ‘o’ and says it in this cute little voice while the rest of his sentence will be in his normal voice haha, I can’t remember when or why he started doing it, but it’s adorable (:

He asked one day out of the blue if he could call me Pazuzu… haha.  I thought it was odd but it grew on me.  Then later I find out that the name comes form (among other things) the gargoyle from Futurama.  It is the strangest thing, but it stuck haha.

@KatB442:  no- he is from the midwest.  I remember the first time he called me sweetness– it was when we first started dating.  I had worked that night, and we were texting a little bit before we went to sleep in our respective homes.  When he said good night, it was “good night sweetness” and i was like a puddle!!!!!!

He calls me all the lovey dovey ones – babe, bub, honey, etc. He calls me ones that could potentially piss me off like chubzy wubzy (it’s from The Simpsons). He’s started calling me pumpkin too :3

We mostly use dear and darling. The word that is majorly off limits for me is baby/babe, as I find it infantilizing.

    Dear/darling/ burger!

He hates Babe so we never use that, except to annoy each other

He calls me “queen” or “my queen” which I find a bit ostentatious but he treats me like one and it makes me melt

We have both nornal nicknames and unique ones.

Normal nicknames: Babe, Baby, My Love, Sweety, Sweety Baby, Lovebug, Babydoll

It’s funny because that last one he picked up from my parents. My parents do not call me by my name, ever. Since I was a child my dad has only called me Babydoll, and my mom will refer to me as Baby Girl or Baby Doll.

Unique nicknames: Chun, Chun Chun, Chun Chon, Butterkat (The first ones are pronounced with a hard U)

One that he never says anymore, but it was a hilarious inside joke, was Beautiful Big Titty Princess. It sounds awful and ridiculous, but he called me that one time and I laughed uncontrollably. He liked my reaction so he started calling me that all of the time.

Thank god he never does it anymore.

He usually calls me baby or little one because I’m 10 years younger than him…=P
