Hi Bees,
My DH and I started NTNP 2ish weeks ago and I just took a digital test (First Response Gold Digital) and it was positive.
I’m in shock right now. We only did the deed 3 times (all the same weekend and then none last weekend because I was recovering from a UTI).
What are the odds??? Eeeeek! As my husband said – when you play the lottery, you have to be prepared to win… but dang…
Help!! I’m freaking out a bit!

Also, I should mention that I have no symptoms at all. No nausea, tiredness, or sore boobs. What is going on???

30-ish percent, depending on when you ovulated?
My parents were the same when they had me… they were talking about TTC and then two weeks later there was nothing more to talk about.
CONGRATS
ETA: oh, I read it as “wow how rare is this” not what are the odds given this positive test you’re pregnant. As hikingbride below said.. you’re pretty much 100% pregnant if a pregnancy test says you are.

Congratulations!!! That’s amazing. Symptoms don’t usually start showing until your like 6 weeks pregnant. FX for a sticky baby!

False positives are pretty rare so while this definitely isn’t a likely scenario, if the test was positive it’s most likely you are pregnant! Congrats!

hikingbride : afenimore11 : amanda1988 : Thanks, bees! And thanks for the statistics – the odds aren’t as low as I thought! I was under the impression that it would take a few months or a few years to get a BFP! Guess I should wrap my head around what’s coming! Eeeeeek!

cdn_bunny : It’s about 25% chance if you have unprotected sex within 3 days before you ovulate. Assuming you have no underlying issues

cdn_bunny : I say, congratulations!!! Many couples struggle for years to conceive and you are among the lucky. NTNP, you gotta be prepared. I think I’d be shocked, too! You’re fertile! ๐

My 3 were all conceived the first month of un-protected sex. My first I only had sex once that month too and bingo. So yes it is quite possible especially if you are under 30. Congratulations ๐

cdn_bunny : the symptoms can come later. I didn’t start getting them for a few weeks when I was pregnant.

minimalistoverplanner : Yup! Started getting symptoms (dizziness, bloating) and no aunt flow! I have an appointment next week with my OBGYN to confirm.

tj99 : Glad to hear that I’m not alone! I’m 32, so I thought it would take longer…but, then again, we never tried until now!
