Is it that if your dress has embellishment near the bodice, you shouldn’t wear a necklace, or is it that if you wear a headband/tiara, you shouldn’t wear a necklace? OR if you wear statement anything, it can only be one – necklace or earrings?
I feel like based on those rules, I should NOT wear a necklace or I should ditch the headband. Can you help?
My dress is pretty “timeless” I’ve been told with some embellishment right under the bust and at the waist (mine is in Diamond White, but the photo is of Ivory Pearl).
I’ll be wearing this simple thin crystal bangle:
Along with these crystal/pearl drop earrings (my dress has pearl details on it):
And this rhinestone encrusted headband:
I feel like I should have some sort of delicate bezel crystal necklace or something but maybe I should just leave my neck bare?

I love your choices!! What a great dress! You look amazing in it!
If I were you – I’d choose between the headband and necklace. I think either is beautiful, but both would be too much for me.
However other girls love their bling! It’s your day and if you want to sparkle all over – go for it!! Don’t give up on something that makes you happy just to follow the “rules”

I would go with the headband and earrings. I think a necklace would distract from the neckline of your dress.

I think the rule is just balance – if you’re wearing a headband and earrings, I woudn’t wear a necklace. I think your choices are very nice!

I vote no necklace. The neckline is beautiful by itself, and the other accessories are just enough.

no necklace. That neckline is gorgeous all by itself. It doesn’t need any competition.

I agree with PP. I think what you have is prefect! A necklace might be too much and take away from the dress or other accessories.

I vote No to the necklace too. 🙂
