I’ve been under the impression my wedding planning was pretty much done, but then I realized the other day that I’ve really only planned the “big” components of the wedding: location, caterer, photographer, dress, flowers. People are always talking about the “details” but I am at a complete loss for what those details include. So far the only thing I’ve been able to identify are the placecards.
What are the things I’m missing? Or am I all done?

@likewoah: Well u pretty much have the big things taken care of which is great. The other things would be. Hair and make-up, bm and gm gifts place cards, table numbers, do you have a DJ? if not then DJ. Wedding planner? Toasting flutes, cake topper, knife and cake server, garter, ring bearer pillow, flower girl basket. Jewlery for your dress. Arrange transportation or hotel accomadations, pick rehersal dinner venue (If your having one)

Oooh, this list is great. I hadn’t thought about any of these, especially things like a cake knife. Thanks!

Our wedding planner went step by step through each element of the wedding and prepared a list of anything needed. Perhaps you might want to do the same starting with things you will need to get ready, things at the ceremony, reception, props for photos etc. Take your time to really go through all the steps of your day.
Don’t forget your guest book (or alternative), pens, card box, photo props (if wanted), any decor items (make a list and keep them together, don’t force yourself to find stuff on the big day), Groomsmen and Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts (are they wrapped, sorted and ready?) etc. Again a step by step review might help you to better understand what little things are needed.

I don’t have a wedding planner, but I will google to see if any planners have posted lists online. This will give me a really good start, thank you!
