They are a type of orchid. Most likely a type of phaelinopsis, judging by the stripey part in the middle.

annabelle90:  I agree, I know them by alstroemerias. Lots of colours and they have those ‘stripes’. I had some in a  fishbowl vase when I lived in my apartment, they were really pretty 🙂

They definitely look like alstroemeria to me – they come in lots of colours and last really well as cut flowers. I usually have a vase of them on my dining room table.

These flowers are so pretty and they seriously last forever! I When I get them in bouquets they are always the longest lasting, which makes them great for a wedding!
