Write in a journal, cup of tea, have a nap, curl up on the couch with a book or turn on trashy tv (I’m watching RHOC) and then eventually call your mom back to apologize (if appropriate!)

Exercise! I don’t usually actually do this but when I do it makes me feel better. But a glass of wine is so much easier… But seriously, I curl up with a good book or a feel good movie and try to distract myself emotionally, so that I can come back and look at things more rationally once I’m feeling better.

Exercise. Especially vigorous cardios. Usually I don’t like to do, but that’s the most effective and very immediate. Tea, book, movie, mucis etc. are also helping especially after exercise, when you feel a little better than the worst.

@jessicaandjames5914:

My “bad mood” routine involves the following:

-our couch

-tacos or some other easily accessible drive through food I can get a  mass quantity of

-wedding magazines

-Disney channel

-whiskey/coke

A pedicure always makes me feel better. And a new outfit.

Any of these usually work:

  • painting my nails, or going for a pedicure/manicure
  • going shopping
  • calling up a close friend
  • taking my dogs on a walk
  • just laying on teh couch w/ a cup of hot cocoa and some trashy tv
  • reading the Bee!
  • cleaning one small area of my house (even something like doing the dishes b/c I feel like I did something)
  • Going through my closet to find things to donate
  • Baking! Lately I’ve been making whoopie pies
  • Draw or paint
