I am a snob about pretty much everything but clothes and cars. I love getting clothes from thrift shops and garage sales, drive a crap car, but have a extremly awesome digital camera, everything Mac, $500 purse…etc. Haha. Book snob, beer snob.. I am weird in that I can be very food snob $50/lb cheddar, but then eat White Castle at 2am.

I don’t know if snob is the correct word. I am persnickety. I am picky about pretty much everything from clothes, shoes and cars to neighborhoods, salons and housewares. My motto is “buy nice, or buy twice.”

@speechie:  that’s funny.  pizza is my favorite food but i have the opinion that “no pizza is bad pizza”.  lol i mean of course there is literally bad pizza but nothing that isn’t edible.

@ButterflyDoll: We have a frozen custard place thats actually the top place in Virginia. Thought the Virginia one isn’t really right, you can get a root beer slush and a cherry slush. Pineapple and maple custard. Top 50 US Ice Cream Shops

Pretty snobby about that. And I too, am a snob about dogs. But mostly my dog. I have a corgi, a pembroke welsh corgi. And when people ask me, is he a pembroke or a welsh, I become infuriated, in my mind of course and when I explain actually he’s a pembroke welsh corgi, they blow me off, and I have to explain that the other breed is a cardigan welsh corgi, so they’re both welsh.

oh yea i’m an ice cream and chocolate snob too, forgot about that.  haagan dazs and godiva only.

and why on earth would you be a snob about a dog breed?  if you’re an animal lover, does it really matter?  that seems odd to me.

@nontraditionalmiami: it’s more people are a jerk when I tell them he’s a pembroke welsh when they asked if he’s one or the other, and they get snotty with me about him being a mixed breed and they won’t stop to hear me out.

I think I’m a water snob. Sounds SO weird to say that.

My parents raised us to drink only purified water (no tap water, and hardly ever bottled water). We buy huge jugs of it from a wonderful water store near our home. I have water with me everywhere I go…just can’t help it. I love it. Everyone that comes over to our home drinks SO much water, they say they can’t believe how fresh it tastes. Needless to say, I’m just careful of what brands of water I drink because I can taste the difference.

It’s weird, I know :/

@gogogiraffes:  ohh ok.  nevermind i thought it was the opposite sorry.  i have an adorable mutt (cocker mix) and everyone always stops me and talks about how cute he is.  don’t get me wrong, there are a bunch of pure breeds that i love but i know there are people out there who see their full breed pet as more of a status symbol or accessory than a pet and are total breed snobs and it just goes against everything there is to being a “pet person”.

@craftybridelovesnerdygroom:  that’s not weird at all.   bottled spring water only for me or fiji when i feel like splurging.

and yes if you blind folded me and had me drink fiji and drink bottled spring water, i can taste the difference:)

@nontraditionalmiami: Oh no, I had a mix and loved her. And I know plenty of mutts who are best of all of their breeds. But people who are snobs to me about my dog. Is when I get snotty to them. 🙂

Grammar and spelling (please dear God don’t let me misspell something in this post).

Also music, but not the genre- how it’s sung. If I listen to you sing live, (professional or amateur, I will judge. DH is the same way, the only person we would have sing at our wedding was our music teacher. It’s my own personal torture to have to listen to my recorded singing (from contests and such when I was younger), I’ve always been my own worst critic!

@hisgoosiegirl:   what do you think about kelly rowland’s new solo song with lil wayne?   everyone loves it and i’m like, ‘am i the only one who thinks she sounds HORRIBLE?”  ughh…she really shouldn’t be hitting those high notes at all, she’s a total alto.

anyway, yea i’m a music snob too and work in the music industry.

@nontraditionalmiami: I’d actually not heard that song, so I took a listen quick. She definitely doesn’t have the power for the higher notes. I’m a pretty big country fan, and it literally cringer whenever I hear Taylor Swift sing live. I’ll listen to her on the radio, but would I ever pay money to go to her concert? Not in a million years.

I know a lot of music people don’t like American Idol and similar shows, but I actually like them. You get the hear the contestants live each week, and when you see some of the performers from that show, they are incredible on the radio, award shoes, live performances – the whole package. They aren’t simply auto-tuned and edited to perfection.

Listening to Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood – those girls can sing 🙂

Just listening to this song shows true talent next to Swift, Bieber, Ke$ha, and all the other flashes in the pan. In my opinion, of course 🙂
