I don’t know if I’d say expert but I’m a bit (OK a lot) obsessed with writing-grammar, spelling, the whole thing. I love love love to proofread.

Not to sound old-fashioned or anything, but I’m pretty pro at pressing (ironing) clothing.

My mom does alterations, so I pretty much grew up in her store and ended up helping her press clothes there.  My fiance appreciates this skill as well:)

I’m an expert at using WordPress, especially the pro version. That’s pretty much it, though. I’m an amateur at calligraphy, though!

I worked at a flower shop growing up. They had a business card that said “We put the fun in funerals”. Seriously.

I was there alone most of the time, so I got really good at making arrangements, corsages, bouts, and homecoming mums. I can also tie some really awesome bows, but that only seems to come in handy at Christmas. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’d like to think I’m an “expert” at kid-friendly activities.  For example, me + glitter = heaven. And I can make kids fall asleep like *that*.  Haha I’m a preschool teacher…I feel like I’m pretty good at what I do.  I love my kids (I better, heck I spend all day with them) and although they drive me CRAZY sometimes, they teach ME so much about life.

Also, I am going back to school in the Fall (hopefully) for my Master’s so I can become a reading specialist at an elementary school.  I LOVE teaching kids to read…Its my passion and was my favorite subject to teach when I was in a kindergarten classroom.

@SoontobeMrsA: I’m like you–I’d consider myself an expert in spelling and proofreading.  I don’t really try to have perfect grammar on here, but if it’s an important document for work or something, I’ll make sure it’s just right.

I also have perfect pitch, which I must admit is an annoying “talent” because when music is off-pitch it really gets to me!

I am also very good at editing. Not so good at writing, but I can definitely tighten up writing.

My dad was a lawyer and taught me all about how to be concise and clear and how to edit down to the true meat of the writing.

I’ve also been horseback riding for 21 years and know a lot about riding, horse care, jumping, equitation, etc although I wouldn’t call myself an expert.

Fixing the copy machine at work. I don’t know why but it seems like I’m the only one that knows whats wrong. I can spot a staple jam in less time that it takes to open a soda can!

I’ve got lame skills. I’m an expert grocery shopper. I always manage to get just enough food to last us sunday- sunday. I stick to our budget, AND I plan new/different meals for at least 3-4 nights of the week.

@Pomapoo: I have perfect pitch too, and I agree, it can be annoying! But my friends think of it as a novelty and some of them have been known to ask me to help them tune their guitars when there’s no piano around.

My ears are probably the most valuable things I have. I’m trained to analyse speech and other sounds in forensic audio recordings. I’m technically qualified to give evidence in court as an expert witness. Coolest Master’s degree ever ๐Ÿ™‚
