I was thinking about getting some robes for us to get ready in. I think a shirt would be very difficult to get off and you risk messing up hair and make up.

We did jeans and t-shirts and it was fine (and very comfortable).  In some social circles, the matchy-matchy getting-ready outfits are seen as being a bit over-the-top, like, why do we need a special outfit to get ready to wear our special outfits.  I would run the idea past a friend who is not in your bridal party but is part of the social circle to get a better idea of if it is worth the effort and money.

I bought my girls waffle robes. They’ll be cute and practical for getting ready and then they’ll have a new robe to use whenever they need one.

We’re doing robes! Silk-like pink robes for the ladies, white for me, and black (with matching boxers!) for my bridesman 🙂 Super comfy, not too warm for late May in NJ, and easy to take off!

I’m having my girls wear whatever they want.  I would never feel comfortable in a just a robe around photographers & other people I didn’t know. Especially a short robe.

Um. Jeans or yoga pants and some kind of button/zip up shirt? I don’t think I’ll tell them what to wear. Just whatever is comfortable.

We didn’t do matchy-matchy anything for getting ready – just button-downs.  I didn’t really care what they wore, and there weren’t many of the getting ready pictures without the girls in their dresses, either.

@CityBearBride:  I’m definitely wearing something under my robe. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to wander around in front of people in just a robe.
