I’m not going to actually say what they are, but my middle name is my Chinese name (romanized), and if you put FI’s middle name and first name together, it apparently creates a euphemism for a penis which I had no idea until recently!!

That’s a beautiful middle name!

My middle name is Ann. It was carried down from my grandmother whose middle name is also Ann. I don’t not like it with my first name, I think it sounds to country so I will be dropping it when we get married. My last name is Ashley which is an uncommon last name but that will be my “middle name” after the wedding.
My Fiance middle name is Adolph. YUCK. Makes me (and everyone else) think of Hitler. His mom argued his dad about this but he won (its an old family name)… He and I both want to drop it .

That makes two of us 😛
Neither FH nor I have a middle name. I actually like it that way.

I had my name legally changed but it doesn’t change on your birth certificate. Your birth certificate will always reflect your name at birth.

Husband’s is Paul.
I like both of our middle names, but not more then the first name.

Thank you! It’s a combination of my maternal and paternal grandmother’s names (Emily + Bernice).

Oh, there’s the disconnect! Over here (BC) when you legally change your name, they change your birth certificate. It’s like erasing history. Probably why we have to get fingerprinted and criminal record checked before we’re allowed to do it.
It’s totally backwards, because there are a lot of name changes related to marriage that shouldn’t be considered a legal change. For example, hyphenating names is a legal name change, which is dumb, because you’re more traceable with a hyphenated name than if you were to just to assume your spouse’s name.
I’m glad to hear that not everywhere is totally backwards. 😀
