I am keeping my actual dress (getting it fixed up and cleaned) but I brought an extra dress with me that looked similar to my actual dress (and by the same designer) to trash on location at my destination wedding. People have said they can’t even tell that they are different dresses (though to me it is obvious).

    So worth it!

Trashing The Dress photos turned out to be some of my absolute favorites. Wouldn’t have done it any other way! 🙂

Logic tells me to sell, my heart tells me to donate, my emotions say – are you crazy … keep it and I just thought that shortening it to add to my collection of cocktail dresses is an awesome idea :-/

I definitely going to hold onto it for a while, see if a family member or friend wants it, probably wear it again for my FH, then … i dunno, I do love the idea of my little girl dressing up in it, I did that all the time with my mum

@Miss2BaMRS:  That is a beautiful dress, who is the designer? Is it an Ella dress? How much did it cost? I will be keeping mine for sure!

@QueenieB:  YES!!! I am going to do this one day! I’m going to show this to my SIL!!! Her dress was a short wedding dress, but so very beautiful and she has beautiful legs – very fitting for her. Her dress would look beautiful framed!

My opinions may change after the big day, but right now I’m on team sell. My dress is by a well known designer and will need minimal alterations because I am tall. I figure I can recoup 30-60% of what was paid and put the money towards a new home.

My 16 year old sister kept making comments to my mom and me about how much she loved my dress (weird, I had no idea she even liked my taste) so I think she was hinting that she will want it. I will prob preserve it for her after getting it dry cleaned and fixed.

I will either sell it or frame it. I have a pretty big walk in closet so I’d hang it in there, just like the inspiration pic.

I would definitely consider doing a trash the dress if I couldn’t sell it- I’d love to have some photos taken of me in my ballgown riding my horse, but I don’t think he’d be a big fan of all the tulle lol.

I plan on keeping my wedding dress.

I’ll probably wear it round the house on a Sunday afternoon, dusting in my 6″ stilettos, singing our wedding song…

The first one I bought I would have sold after. Once I bought my second and final dress, I will never part with it. I am getting it preserved for my daughter. If she wears it then that’s great. But if he never wants to and it’s not we style then that’s ok too
