Miss Coral:  I’m going to be a circus ring leader. It was a $20 Walmart costume lol

I saw a fun “Regina George” DIY. The girl is already blonde, she wore a white tank top with the boob area cut out and purple bra underneath and black skirt. She carried around a “burn book”. It was hilarious!

Miss Coral:  I’m being a sugar skull/day of the dead girl. I got a silverish wig just because, but it really wasn’t necessary. I’m just going to follow this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmJ15v3UMRI and create my own flower veil thing.

Miss Coral:  I’m Luigi, Darling Husband is Mario. Not terribly original, but fun. We got hats and moustaches at the Party store. I scoped out Goodwill for red and green shirts and I painted blue overalls on them with plain ol’ acrylic paint and hot glued buttons on. ๐Ÿ™‚

Darling Husband and I were in a Halloween costume party/contest this weekend, and we did a Super Mario Bros. theme.  Our Corgi was Mario, Darling Husband was Luigi, and I went as Princess Peach.  We DIY-ed DH’s costume – bought him some denim overalls, a long sleeved green shirt, and got a Luigi hat and mustache from Amazon.  My costume and our dog’s costume were ordered in advanced though.

You and your Fiance could be sushi!  I did this 2 years ago as a last minute costume and I got Darling Husband a sushi chef costume online from Pottery Barn.  All you need to wear is a white shirt, a wide black or green belt/sash/scarf to wear around your waist, and a decorated poster board as the fish part like these people did.

I used a pillow stuffed inside a red pillow case that I painted lines on with a white paint pen to look like tuna.  I also made a headband of wasabi and ginger with felt and a hair clip I found at Michael’s.  I don’t have a full photo of us, but you can see my headband in this pic.

(Excuse DH’s expression. He totally wasn’t ready for the pic!)

I’m going as Daenerys Targaryen. I just bought the costume… I wasn’t feeling the DIY/creativity thing this year. Previous years I have done Jem, Sailor Moon, etc.

Last year we were Wayne and Garth from Wayne’s World. I only had to buy the hat and a blonde wig, but you could easily make the hat too.

I’m 27 weeks pregnant right now.  I saw a really neat costume online for a pregnant woman.  It was the headless horseman with the belly decorated as the pumpkin head.  However, I had a bad fall and ended up with no time/inclination to actually make a costume of that caliber, (the party was the following weekend), so we went to the store and ended up buying a costume.  I went as a pregnant nun, which everyone got a kick out of.  The best part was DH’s friend taking like five minutes to realize “Hey, wait a minute!  You can’t be a pregnant nun!  That’s not how it works!”
