The Midnight Watch by David Dyer. A novel about the crew of the Californian… the closet ship to the Titanic. Really well-written!

I just finished the Boleyn Inheritance. Best book I’ve read in a while.

This is one of my favorite books I’ve read! I read it a few months ago and couldn’t put it down!

You probably will be bored by this but we just bought our twins a first edition set of the Britannica Great Books of the Western World so I’m currently making my way through it (there are 54 books). Of course I’ve already read 99% of them but it’s fun to re-read them.

Just finished Mary Roach’s most recent book, Grunt – she’s a sort of humor/research writer and this particular book looked into the research behind the army – sleep cycles, vehicle armor, training medics, stuff like that. Lots of particulars the run-of-the-mill person doesn’t even think about.
Next plan is to start Deception – second of a trilogy by CJ Redwine. I’d never heard of her until her aunt, a coworker, plugged her new book via work email. I decided to give her old stuff a try. It’s a young adult fiction- another one of those dystopian future ones that seem to be on trend lately.

It is so good! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from it and whether I would like it, before reading. It’ll be interesting to see what they do with it.

I do like her books. I’ve heard mixed reviews on this one though.
