@mrsedwardslpn:  We’re planning on having the ceremony in our backyard, then going to a park with a lake for the “reception” (even though it’s just the two of us, ha ha)! Picnic, renting a row boat, maybe riding a bike. Our photographers and videographers will be there to capture it all. 🙂

We had a weddingmoon, so we had five days in a lovely resort after our elopement. We also had a gourmet dinner after the ceremony with our three guests.

Right after the ceremony (5pm ceremony), we went for photos on location.  This took about 2 hours – we went in a canoe, ona trail, in the forest, around the lake.  It was a lot of fun, but 2 hours was plenty.  Then we had dinner reservations on site at 7:30pm (so no driving).  The dinner was actually a 3 hour long meal!  We had three courses and then wedding cake and sorbet.  Our witnesses left at 10:30pm and then we went back to our hotel room.

Earlier that day we had a big breakfast and then went on a 5 mile long hike.  Then returned to the lodge to get ready.

We rented a room at the most expensive restaurant in the city, so we’re going to party it up just the two of us, and enjoy some amazing views and delicious food.

Our ceremony was at 9am (Outside in the Texas heat ya know). After we did pics with the photographer for a couple of hours, then went back to the hotel, changed, loaded the truck and went on a mini road trip through the Texas hill country.

@mrsedwardslpn:  We are having a 1pm ceremony and then we will have a late lunch with the other 9 family memebers who will be there, after photos. We will then go to our hotel. What the fam does is up to them, we have a couple of nights in Charleston before a 5 cruise from there.

We are getting married on a beach lookout point, just the two of us, along with our officiant (a friend) and our photographer (also a friend). After, we are going to The Beach Boardwalk on the coast (about a mile or two down from the ceremony site) and will be riding some of the rides! Wooden roller coaster, the swings, the people mover! We are having some portraits and candid shots done there. We are renting a room at a bed and breakfast right on the coast. I imagine we will get some food somewhere downtown, then go back to the b&b. Our room will have a table for two in it, with french doors that open up to a view of the beach. I think we will have some champagne and have our little cake there! The next morning we may go out for breakfast, and to a cute little cafe for lunch. If the weather permits, we will probably take a walk along the path near the beach, on the cliffs.

After our Elopment in Vegas we had dinner at a super casual mexican joint. I was in a full on Wedding Gown sipping on Slushy Drinks and eating Tomales. So much Fun!

Then afterwards we went to a cirque du soleil show. Again because I was in a big dress all the souvenir photographers swooned all over us. I know they figured we were a sure thing to buy prints but it made us feel special and stand out in a crowd. And we were lucky enough to get our seats upgraded as well.

It was soo casual and fun I could not have asked for more.

We did about an hour of pix in the park we were at afterwards, then stopped at one of our favorite pubs for some (much needed) lunch and beverages (yes still dressed up).  Then we went home and changed into more casual attire and went to a local steakhouse for dinner that night.  It was just the 2 of us, all day!
