jenfortin : I’m following Slimming World (because I know it works) which is basically as much lean meat/fish as you like, along with plenty of veggies. You can also have lots of carbs (unlimited pasta and potatoes, seriously) which I love. You just have to “syn” naughty things like chocolate and alcohol, which is 1 syn per 20cals. You get 15 syns a day 🙂
Exercise wise, I see a PT once a week and go to the gym on my own twice a week for about an hour each time.
I’ve really noticed a difference in my body even after only a month so I’m really pleased 🙂

My fiancé and I are both going to the gym at least 4x a week. We are also going for long walks (when it isn’t too cold outside – Canada is freezing!).
I’ve been a vegetarian for 8 years, so I eat a lot of fruits/veggies. I am in the process of trying to cut out processed foods (especially chips/chocolate), since I know that is my biggest problem!
My fiancé isn’t exclusively a vegetarian (but only eats meat 1-2x a week) and that has helped him lose a lot of weight, along with going to the gym of course.

I joined weight watchers. I need to lose about 15lbs but I have a long history of under eating and being under weight. So with my doctor permission I’m doing weight watchers because it actually keeps me from under eating.

mrsromanini : Looking fab! What’s the time-span between the two pics? And are you super strict about the meal prep? Like the typical 4-6 oz lean meat, cup of veggies, 1/2 c rice type thing?

Shooting for 1400 calories a day, not exercising though. Honestly I need to. I’m going to get into the groove of calorie counting first and when that feels like second nature I’ll add the second layer. lol
In 6wks I’ve lost 8lbs which seems fair for the modest effort I’m putting in. I’ve got until early August so every little bit will add up eventually. 🙂

tinneranne2 : I’ve been trying and am getting nowhere. I’ve been eating fairly well, drinking meal replacements when I have no time to eat an actual meal, working out when I can and I’m only down maybe 2 pounds in about 2 weeks. I was sick for a few days though and mother nature REALLY hated me this month. Hopefully it’s just water weight. Stress sucks.

itsaylissa : thank you! No not super strict in the amount but strict in that I make sure I’m eating mostly whole foods. Like if I’m snacking on sweet peppers or celery, I don’t really limit myself or if I’m eating a salad I literally use a mixing bowl😂 So no, I wouldn’t say I keep track of the amounts, just what type of food goes in. And those pics are about 6 months apart😊

Spin classes and weight lifting! I need to start paying closer attention to what I eat though. I mostly want to focus on overall weight loss (15lbs) and toning my arms (yay for strapless dresses! lol)
