(Closed) What are you doing for the other Thanksgiving meal?

I would agree with the pp’s! Fruit, cheese, crackers, vegetables. 

Leave it at that! 🙂 You’re already going to be tired from cooking for everyone, let alone worrying about a lunch!

I don’t host it, but Thanksgiving dinner is served around 2PM at both my parent’s and SO’s parents’. Later on in the evening, everyone has leftovers.

@smg5281:  We actually do a Thanksgiving lunch and do leftovers for dinner after naps! lol

we never have “lunch” on thanksgiving. appetizers go out around 11, and we eat dinner around 4:30.

As PPs said I would also do a bigger breakfast because a) breakfast food is a lot easier to cook and b) no one is going to want a huge lunch before Thanksgiving dinner. Also, have you considered just offering them normal breakfast foods like cereal or oatmeal and just having other lunch things around for them and things to snack on if they get hungry? I don’t think anyone is going to expect you to prepare an amazing lunch on top of Thanksgiving dinner!

I’ll be cookinging all day Thursday so I am not making anything for lunch… it’ll be simple like sandwiches.  dinner is at 5
