I simply adore Valentines Day! Not only do I just love candy and flowers, but I love giving candy and flowers to those I love! The pure happiness my mom, grandma, and sister get on their face after they receive a beautiful bouquet of red roses & chocolates is truly priceless and never gets old.
What kind of plans do you Bee’s and your SO’s have for Valentines Day??
My husband and I are going to grab a heart shaped pizza from Me-n-Eds, and take it to the gorgeous park we live close to and eat by the lake. Then he is going to take me to pick out some truffles from a chocolate shop downtown and a cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. (yuuummy!). After that we plan on seeing a movie and following that we will eat at Yoshino’s Teppenyaki and pick up some blockbuster movies for home to enjoy with our desserts. 🙂 I’m beyond excited!
P.s. I know it might be silly to some people that we are cornballs and even as adults we still celebrate like love-stricken teenagers but we just can’t help it!
Anyone want to share their plans?

We always make Valentines a 4 day holiday. It is our winter break. It will include mani/pedi hot stone massages, good restaurants, a play or two, good books and sleeping in. It is my favorite time of the year too.

@katecal: That sounds so relaxing and fun! 😀

We’re eloping in our favorite park. 🙂
We need to be married earlier for logistical reasons. We picked Valentines day, since people already celebrate it. Valentines day also marks a year and a half for us. We’ll still have a wedding with our families in August.

I’ll go to class all morning and part of the afternoon. Then probably Skype the Fiance for maybe 30 minutes or an hour before he goes to bed? Haha. How lame. Stupid LDR.
We’ll send cards ahead of time though. And hopefully he sends me some of his clothes to sleep with. 🙂

My boyfriend and I live 11 hours apart, prayerfully for not too much longer. He’s looking for a job in my area. Valentine’s Day is our six-year dating anniversary (so cliche and corny, but it fits our relationship lol) and he’ll be in town. We’re going to a music show at a restaurant I really like. They have a Valentine’s Day special for the show that comes with two tickets, premium seating at a table right near the stage, two desserts and a bottle of champagne. I’m looking forward to it.

@LaCroix: So sweet, I hope you’ll be posting pictures soon!
On V Day we are doing a 5 course tasting menu at a restaurant downtown. The following day we are doing a beer and chocolate tasting at this great liquor store that has awesome events.

It will be my 8 year anniversery with Darling Husband (dating aniversery). We are BIG on Valentines day (our song on our wedding day for our first dance was My Valentine by Paul McCartney since it has HUGE significance with us and our relationship.. we even got engaged on Valentines Day).
No clue what we are doing yet but we have been brain storming. 🙂
Probably dancing, dinner or sleigh ride (we live 10 minutes outside Park City)… Lots of ideas!

Well Fiance and I are working during the day but we will probably go out for dinner and exchange gifts 🙂 I love the bouquet of roses he always gives me, but this year we will be giving each other gifts we need for our home (hoping to move out together by Christmas) 🙂 He has been wanting a new playstation for a while, and while I can’t afford to get him one I got him a gift card that should help significantly 🙂

Not big on Valentine’s Day tbh. I’m actually working that night so will caring for sick kids at work all night. Only thing I want from my husband is a card that he took more than 2 seconds to pick out. And maybe go to dinner one night that week. I’m glad we won’t go to dinner that actual night. Valentine’s day is one of the worst days to go out to eat, everyplace is crowded and you don’t get as great service as you would another night of the week. Menus are limited and the food quality won’t be as great.

We are beating the reservation/crowd rush and cooking a romantic dinner together 🙂

My birthday is actually the day after Valentines Day so we will be going away to a resort for the weekend. We have reservations for a fancy dinner, are going on a glass bottom boat over the east China sea, paddle boating, and if it’s warm enough we want to go snorkeling on the reefs. He was going to surprise me with this trip, but like usual he got too excited and told me lol. He’s adorable.

I’m going to work and ignore the whole thing. Haven’t liked Valentine’s Day since the 6th grade. Thought that maybe once I had a SO I might change my mind. But nope. He’s adorable and put in all the effort for the first couple years we were together, but I’m irreversibly damaged 🙂 told him not to bother.
And fiance doesn’t mind being off the hook one little bit.

@nursemel: Nah, Valentines Day is actually a great day to go out to dinner because the waiters/waitresses know they will get big tips if they provide good service. More people= more money and waitresses/waiters are usually great with that in mind. Maybe where you live, but here all the places to eat are incredible service wise. Hope you get that card!
Everyone’s plans sound so romantic/fun (those who are celebrating of course). I just adore this time of year! I want my Valentines Dinner/Gifts/Card/Flowers and cheese cake already lol! 🙂
