I am in Southern California and I went to San Diego for mine.

We went and had a spa day in San Diego, massages, facials and pedicures.  My Maid/Matron of Honor booked a hotel in the Gas Lamp district and we went to a really fancy dinner and then went to some bars and ended up at an awesome Karaoke bar and sang the night away.

It was pretty awesome.

Two words: Bourbon Street!   =)

Most of the people who will be coming to my Bachelorette Party are from out of town, so I figured why the heck not!?

We’re going to an art studio that has evening classes lead by an instructor with one selected artwork that you paint that night. It is BYOB and you can bring snacks and whatnot as well.

We’re also going to a really delicious (but affordable/casual) Italian restaurant.

Then the bridal party and any out-of-towners are coming to my place for an old-school style slumber party. Think face masks, nail polish, chick flicks, etc.

I requested NO sash, NO tiara, and NOTHING with a penis on it. I hate that shit.

@R.Elliott: haha @ “NOTHING with a penis on it”    I definitely need to pass that along to the ladies who are planning this!!

I dont mind the tiara and sash part though. 😉  but thats just me.

Mine we are planning on going to Duluth MN for the weekend.  Spend time doing touristy stuff then party that night. And hehe yes I am having the typical “penis” straws or what not.

@R.Elliott: I hear you, who wants to walk around with a tiara of dicks? When I was in SD there were two bachelorette parties going on in the same bar and both were all dressed up so ridiculous. They were both ridiculously drunk and both were ridiculously covered in pink penis’, they looked like street walkers. That SOOO wasn’t me, but to each their own I guess. haha

Vegas (next Thursday!). I’m willing to wear either a sash or a button to get free shots but I said nothing with a penis on it and no blow up dolls. There were penis straws at my shower for some reason…

My plan is to rent a house on Lake Michigan and chill with my best girlfriends.  I also want nothing to show that I’m a bride in any way.  Maybe when we’re at the house but definitely not at the bars.  I’m too old for that crap.  I really just want to have fun with my friends and that’s about it.

I dont know all the details, as I am not planning it, but I told them I wanted to do it Kentucky Derby Day, and we all get dressed up in dresses and big hats and go to a big Kentucky Derby party here in the city.  I’m super excited, love the big hats!

@misskarianne: You’re from Slidell! I grew up in Mandeville, and we always drove to Slidell to go to the mall!

Anywho, we went to a Cuban restaurant (yeah seemingly limitless pitchers of sangria!) and then to a gay piano bar, which was like ten kinds of awesome.

@R.Elliott: This is very similar to what I am doing and as to the penis stuff, I couldn’t agree more!

Austin, Texas!!  We are combining our annual girls trip with my bachelorette.  We are going to pretty much eat and drink our faces off for a week.

There will be no sash or plastic pensis.

@Mrs Sarah McK: I actually just moved here a year ago, I must say though, I love it in Louisiana!

@HardyPooleParty: That sounds so great! I’ve always wanted a reason to wear a big hat like that!!
