As in, are you having people blow bubbles, or throw rice while you walk out to your “get away car”? We’re going to see if we have have people wave sparklers! We have to make sure to have a garden pipe on standby incase some numbskull actually manages to light a fire with one, lol.
Rice is not really a good idea though, birds die from bloat after eating it, but maybe if you threw actual birdseed? Letting balloons go is a peeve of mine, because you don’t know where those balloons end up. I do. In my cattle’s stomachs, killing them after they find a defalted one in thier pasture and decide to give it a wee taste. Not cool.
Any other safe & fun alternatives out there?

We really wanted sparklers (especially for the pictures) but we’re getting married at a friend’s ranch and they weren’t too comfortable with the idea. Honestly, neither was I with 250 people. What we’ve decided to do is sparklers for the wedding party and bubbles for everyone else. I had a friend who just used streamers/flags and people waved them as they went by. Hope that helps.

I don’t want to use rice because I have seen images where the bride and groom have been full on pelted with it by over zealous guests. it looks painful, haha.
I haven’t given it a lot of thought past that. I like the sound of streamers though, and have seen this on a few blogs and it looks really pretty.

I just want people to clap as we leave, and were going to be on the 2nd floor going down the the 1st to get in the car so we just hope people clap as we leave and not follow us downstairs and outside lol… we do have bubbles but were using them after the ceremony but before the reception.
