I temped using a BBT and tracked using Fertility Friend. DH and I got pregnant on our first cycle trying.

I will full admit to sucking at charting. I could never remember to take my temp. After 5 cycles I broke down and bought an OPK. We used preseed and I laid with a pillow under my butt with my legs up in the air for 30 minutes after we BD. I got my BFP our first cycle using OPKs.

This is my third cycle…and honestly, I just use OPKs like they’re going out of style beginning around CD 12 (I usually ovulate between CD 15 – 20). Track the good ol’ CM.

Once I get a positive OPK, I try to do the ol’ BD at least once a day until my OPKs are negative. Haven’t been lucky so far, though. Hoping this is finally my cycle and that I’ll get pregnant this week πŸ˜€

I’ve heard that by the end of 3 months – of the women who time sex for ovulation – a bit more than 2/3rds are pregnant. Otherwise, it’s about 6 out of every 10 couples getting pregnant within the same timeframe (if sex isn’t time for ovulation). So, I figure we charters are doing ourselves some favors..

I’ve been tracking my period on an app called period tracker. We just started TTC this month and basically have just been doing it every 24-36 hours. Supposedly I ovulated today so hopefully I will have good news soon πŸ™‚ If not, I’ll look into charting.

I charted my periods and used OPK tests and looked at CM. I could never get into the habit of temping. Once I got a positive OPK we BD every day and I would always lay with a pillow under my butt for at least 20 min. Worked for us!
