Just curious how others are doing their lashes: Natural? Curl and mascara? Set of false strip lashes? False “cluster” lashes? Extensions? I thought I would do false strip lashes but I just tried to put some on and thought they felt/looked weird and well…Fake. I know my makeup artist will do a much better job than I did, but I can’t get over how weird they felt.

My make-up artist recommended the false strip lashes. After about 10 minutes of wearing them, I honestly couldn’t feel them anymore. Those professionals can work magic!

I did curl & mascara. I wanted to do fake individual lashes (they look great! Used them for my bach & RD), but forgot my glue!

I wore strips. There are many variations and some are more realistic than others. I bought a pack of long lashes and another pack of volume lashes to test out before the big day. Initially they felt really strange, and obviously looked OTT because I was not used to them. But after the first few times I got used to them, and absolutely loved them. In the end, for the wedding, I went for length and loved how they looked in pictures.

Just mascara for me. I was entertaining the idea of falsies, and my makeup artist offered to do it, but I decided I didn’t want to. I’m really glad I didn’t because I love how my lashes photographed. They’re pretty long and full to begin with though.

I’m going to do false lashes because I want myneyes to look dramatic. I’m alreadu planning on doing a smokey eye for my eyeshadow and I think falsies will finish off the look.

I just tried to put fake eyelashes on for the first time the other day. They looked natural. Too natural. I got the least dramatic size and they looked mostly like my regular eye lashes. But they felt SO WEIRD! I took them off within a few minutes. They hardly made any difference anyway. Maybe at some point I’ll try bigger, more dramatic ones. But I’ll probably just put mascara on my real lashes. Mine are naturally curly, so don’t think I need to curl them (never done so).

I am getting extensions. I have a lot of lashes, but they are straight and kinda short. Hmpf.

I plan on wearing my glasses and can’t use false eyelashes that extend past my natural ones or else they hit my lenses 🙁

I had purchased indiviuals from the drug store & planned on wearing them, but kinda ran out of time last minute. I ended up going with my plain old everyday mascara.

My makeup artist applied individual false lashes. They looked great and I couldn’t even feel them!

Ditto @Mrs. Chai:
I was really pleased with how they turned out!

My makeup artist recommends the individual clumps of false lashes, which she glues very close to my natural lashes, over the strips. I’ve worn the strips before but they are definitely more “in your face!” than the clumps, which have a more natural, but still full, look.
