Title says it all – what are you doing with your nails on your wedding day? Married bees, what did you do with yours?
I can’t decide if I should visit a salon and get a proper main/pedi. I hate fake nails and refuse to have them, so it seems pointless to bother. I have been looking for the perfect colour to paint them to go with my dress (which is ivory), but nothing has leapt out at me yet – has anyone found an amazing colour that works for them?
What did you ladies do? Hit a salon? Paint them yourself? Go natural? Inspire me! I am stumped. Pics would help too! 🙂

@Sevyn: I plan to get a gel manicure 🙂 No fake nails for me! Oh and I would also get the French tips style. It’s nice and neutral for the dress. Very classic and classy.

I plan to get a french manicure and will probably get fake nails because mine are terrible.

@Sevyn: I hate fake nails too, and luckily, my nails grow really well and I rarely polish them. For some reason, polish won’t stay on my nails (even the shellac) and makes my nails brittle and break easy. For my wedding I plan to go to a salon and have a french manicure done on my natural nails. It will probably only last for the day, but hopefully the polish will stick around for pictures! 🙂

I’m just painting my nails light pink at home. I never go to the salon to get my nails done, so I wouldn’t even know where to go.

@Sevyn: Then don’t get fake- get shellack instead!
I swear by it and it’ll last without chipping for at LEAST two weeks. (I ususally have to take it off after 2-3 weeks because it’s grown out before it even starts chipping.)

I’m getting a shellac manicure at a salon.. probably in a light/pale pink color. I’m also getting a pedicure in a fun color.. I want some bright toes for our Cancun Honeymoon 🙂

Light pink paint at home 🙂

@X0JLYNN03: I had my first gel manicure before Christmas, and ever since my nails have been splitting/weak. Do you find this as well? Could it be because I got OPI Gel instead of Shellac.

I’m painting mine a natural peachy/pink shade. Haven’t decided whether to do it at home or get shellac, though.

I did my own french mani.

I went to a salon and got a gel french manicure. Nails look so much better when they are professionally done because they get rid of all that dead skin. I’m not into fake nails either, so go with natural nails with the french and you’ll look great!

I could do my own shellac mani at home, but I think FI’s stepmom is treating me, so we’ll go to the salon. No neturals for me.

I’m definitely getting a manicure, but no fake nails and no shellac. Just plain ol’ polish works for me and it will most likely end up being a bright color (pink or red-orange) or a light color (mint or peach).
