I will be paying for her and I to get our nails done and get pedicures before the wedding.  It will just be the two of us.  I have 7 bm’s including her so there would never be a way to force them all to get it done (I would never make them) or to get everyone there at the same time.

That’s my little extra “thank you” to her… even though she doesn’t know it yet. Laughing

I have known my Maid/Matron of Honor since we were 3, she is my longest friend, so we’ve been on family trips together, been to all of each others’ birthday parties, the works.. Therefore, we have a megaton of pictures together going over several years. So I made her a little scrapbook of all our pictures together. Heck, I even have an old bubble-bath picture from when we were 5!

I’m probably going to give it to her separately, but I’m not sure when.

My sister was my unofficial Maid/Matron of Honor and I never ended up getting her anything. But she’s going abroad for a year next year so I plan on buying her something very special (or making it)before she leaves.

@Mrs.GtoBe:  I like the idea of a more experiential gift like that — that it isn’t about the dollar value so much as the quality time! I was thinking of giving my Maid/Matron of Honor one of those cheesy coupon books like you’d give your mom on Mothers’ Day as a kid … but coupons for things like cooking dinner for her, baking her something, being the designated driver for a night out … with the final coupon being to take her and her boyfriend (a groomsman) out to a fancy restaurant with me and Fiance after the wedding! I think it’s just cheesy enough to make her happy ๐Ÿ™‚

I bought this great frame recently that says “what would i do without you” on it intending always to give it to my Maid/Matron of Honor but not sure when. I’ve decided to give it to her after the wedding with a pic of us in it from the wedding as a final and lasting thank you thank you thank you! I will also give each Bridesmaid or Best Man a bottle of wine from the area we are getting married in, at the shower they each host as a thank you. Then of course their Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts which are all the same.

@MsJ2theZ:  I’m just picturing that frame with a picture of the Maid/Matron of Honor bustling the inside of the dress, so just her little feet are sticking out the bottom of my skirt … that would be priceless ๐Ÿ™‚  I might have to find a frame like that now!

My mom is my Maid/Matron of Honor and I want to get her something from Coach or Tiffany’s along with something more personal about how much she means to me (:

I am thinking of getting my Matron and Maid of honor additional gifts of a whole day of spa treatments…and I will give them the gift after the wedding to express my extra gratitude at the way they are going above and beyond ๐Ÿ™‚

@iarebridezilla:  I love that idea… that’s awesome!!  I’m so glad it will just be the two of us.  I will be so overwhelmed with 200 people 2 days after that I will like the quiet time and relaxation.  ๐Ÿ™‚
