I don’t think i am going to get him a gift. I don’t know, we are spending so much on stuff as it is and I would rather make him a nice card and write a special, heartfelt message for him.

I get him gifts all the time and I do it because I see something he would like. I don’t feel like it is necessary to get him a gift on our wedding day, because his gift is to marry me. ๐Ÿ™‚

But for you, just think of something special. Do you want it to be for him to use that day? If so, think about what he will need. If not, just think of something that would really mean a lot to him.

My Fiance has been wanting a 270 rifle and I am going to try to find it for him, if the wedding comes in at budget. I have just under 10 months to get it ready.

I kind of feel like our rings are our wedding gifts for eachother, I paid for his and he paid for mine and they are the outwards symbol of our marriage. I don’t know, I feel no need to get him a gift or for him to get me one… I m doing a first look so I am not even sure if we will do the whole write a note thing.

We didn’t do “gift”. Instead, he wrote me a special note, and I wrote him a special letter; however, we are both very sentimental and emotional people, so after the fact, I have made him a wedding video and burned two CDs with our wedding music. I plan to give them to him on our 11th year date anniversary, but I am not sure I can wait that long :-/

We have talked about not doing gifts, but if we had, I would have gotten him an Ipod. You could even load it with songs that he likes or that are special to the two of you before you give it to him.

I wrote my hubby a sentimental note and gave him Mercedes cufflinks.  On our first anniversary, which is a little more than a month away, I’ll be giving him a boudoir photo album (since the 1st yr. is traditionally paper).  He was very proud of the cufflinks!

He is getting tires for his Jeep.  Well, one tire at a time anyways:)

We’re paying for the wedding ourselves so gifts for each other seems like a very nonessential expense. I’m almost certain we’ll skip it and just give each other a nice card or a letter.

We’re not doing gifts either. We are paying for our own wedding and there isn’t anything left in the budget. I bought a book at Barnes & Noble called What I Love About You by Kate & David Marshall. It’s a fill in the blank book and it even gives you places to put pictures, poems, ticket stubs, etc. I plan on giving that to his mom to give to him the morning of our wedding day. It’s not much, but I think it will be more sentimental than a watch!
