I have 3 bridesmaids, my sister, and my three best friends. I am kind of a high strung anal person so I am already worrying about waht to get them as their “bridesmaid” gifts. I am kind of a wedding novice so I’m going to be a bride, before I’m ever a bridesmaid.
Most of the gifts I’ve ever heard bridesmaids talk about, they did so while complaining about them, so I am curious if anyone received a gift they really liked, or really hated, and if so, what?
Also, what is the budget for something like this typically? I was assuming $50-$100 pp, with the Maid/Matron of Honor being a bit more. I was also contemplating paying for my girls hairdo’s, but I assumed that wouldn’t be part of their “gift”, correct?

I got them all personalized totes with their name on it – from ebay only like $8 per bag since I bought in bulk! (PM me if you want details) I also got them all earrings (different ones) and a pretty cocktail ring. I’m also going to give them nail polish, a face cleanser, makeup, that kind of stuff.

- Wedding: March 2012 - Pelican Grand Beach Resort
I have a MoH and a bridesmaid. They are both getting hangers with their names spelled out with the metal (from etsy) and a pair of Swarovski earrings, but my MoH is getting the matching necklace as well.

I’m getting my girls pearl necklaces and matching braclets for the wedding and also a pocket mirror with their names on it and amazingly beautiful pocket watch necklaces!
I haven’t gotten everything yet, but all said and done it should be about under $25! I’m on a tight budget, but I still wanted to get my BMs beautiful things that they can use and will want to use after the wedding. It just took some hunting around to find great quailty iteams for a tight budget.
I’m still in debate about getting them a bag to put their gifts in. I don’t really like the personalized totes. They aren’t badly priced, but I’m just not a fan of the style I guess. I thought about getting them different vintage jewlery boxes. Need to hunt around some more.

I got each of them a big tote bag, a fleece blanet (fall wedding), earrings (all different kinds) a necklace, flip flops. I tried to get them things that aren’t just for the wedding, it just wouldn’t seem like a gift that way.

I ordered tote bag’s from TK’s wedding shop with their first initial on it (in this color combo). They were on sale and with personalization, were only $13.75 each!
I’ll be putting some smaller items inside, like some nice nail polish, jewelry they can wear the day of the wedding, some flip flops to wear for the reception, and some nice body lotion or a candle.

I want to keep an eye on this thread for ideas. Not my whole gift to them, but I did buy some black beaded headbands for them to wear in the wedding.
I don’t know what the typical budget is supposed to be, I’m not picking based off a dollar amount. Just trying to go with what feels right.
I’ve had my hair and makeup gifted to me as a Bridesmaid or Best Man before with a sweet thank you card. I also got some cash collected from guests as part of their wedding traditions which comped most of my dress. I have a single cute little hair pin from when they did my hair that day, it’s a nice reminder and I like having something physical to keep.
