I got him a G-Shock watch. I got him a really good watch 3 yrs ago for his bday.. so i was stuck… but he has been talking about a gshock….

IMO i wouldnt do a pocket watch.. i would do a standard watch.. (unless your certain your man would use a pocket watch!)

This idea probably isn’t applicable to most, but I’m surprising him with new black Ariat boots (pricey!) the morning of the wedding so he can wear them. He keeps joking about wearing boots, and I keep telling him absolutely not, so he should be very surprised. There will be a note when he opens them that says the GMs are NOT allowed to wear theirs!

@WhiskeyEverAfter:  Oh yeah, a nice leather weekend bag. Those are so classic and last forever!

I got us matching stamped metal keychains with the coordinates of our ceremony site, and eventually I’ll be doing a stamped metal wallet insert (size of a credit card) that I’ll have a little note stamped on. We’re big note writers, so he’ll love that. I made us a logo and framed it, as well, but I already gave that to him, and he loved it.

I’m getting him a new grill 🙂 We currently have a charcoal grill and he hates it – he wants a gas grill, so that is what I am getting him!

We agreed not to do gifts. *shrug* He’s getting a wife, I’m getting a husband, we’re both getting a party, a honeymoon, and we’re on track to buy a house…. too much at once to bother with any trinkets!

@aggie2010:  Ditto.  We are getting gifts for so many people (bridal party, parents, officiant, etc), and we’re assuming some guests will bring us gifts, so that seems to be enough gifts for one day.

We don’t plan to exchange wedding gifts. We figure why spend that extra money when we are already dishing out on wedding bands, wedding related expenses and a honeymoon… I might make him something if I happen to have time leading up to the wedding, but that’s questionable!

I got my man and all his grooms men engraved flasks.
They all loved them and still use them till this day.

I’m writing him a letter and getting him a nice watch (see below). I’m also getting budoir photos taken and am giving him a photobook. But, I’m not sure when I’ll do that.

@WhiskeyEverAfter:  FI is very traditional in a lot of ways, so I got him a watch.  He is not a sentimental guy, but he once had talked very wistfully about using his wedding gift 50 years down the line.  I think it’s this one… but the strap is black.

@DrDiane80:  Cute – and very applicable in my case Smile Although I don’t think I’m as nice as you… I don’t think I’m going to budge on the no boots in the wedding!
