An AncestryDNA kit since he’s mentioned being interested in getting that done and it’d be cool info to have with our son on the way.

Idk what else though since he never wants or needs anything. It’s usually easier to go for experiences, so I might get Warriors tix or book a weekend trip to Sonoma… we love it there and have been talking about visiting to help support their economy after the wildfires.

He is in dire need of a new wallet, so I finally got one this year for him. Then some new sports shirts to replace some old ones, and new work shirts. My only other idea is tickets to musical he’s been wanting to see, but they only come to our state in April and it’s still 3 hours away and a month before the wedding. So I dunno!

milksteak :  I got her:

1. A northface coat. She mentioned that she wants a new winter coat because hers is 5+ years old. She didn’t ask me to get her one and has no idea I did. She had planned on using money she got as Christmas gifts from her family to get herself a nice coat, but I figured she can use that money for something fun instead 😊

2. An ember travel mug. Had zero intention of getting a $150 (although I got it for $130, whoot! πŸ˜‚) travel mug, but I saw an ad for it on IG and it looked intriguing. She loves coffee and drinks it all day so I thought this mug seemed like a cool idea. It better be worth the cost lol.

3. A charm of a harp (like the instrument.) We had our first date at a restaurant called the harp, which recently closed (😒). We used to hang out at that restaurant all the time. So many memories there. So I saw the charm and instantly thought of her.

milksteak :  This year we’re broke as buggery – we’ve recently moved and we’re both making less money (even though cost of living has significantly reduced too). I’ve grabbed him a couple of tees he wanted, and continued the tradition of putting socks/jocks in his Santa sack πŸ™‚

Now I’m just waiting for the damned things to arrive to Australia!! Argh!!

We are doing up our new house so we said no gifts this year. We will probably just do a dinner and date type of thing instead.

We are not even doing a tree either because everything is in storage. Darling Husband has been joking that we are on Santa’s naughty list this year because we’ve boycotted Christmas at our house. Hoping to be a baby oven next year so that will make up for Christmas not being so special this year!! πŸ˜‚

We grab two tags off of project Christmas trees for children in need within our community and go shopping together for these kids. Those are our gifts for eachother.

Some video games he wants, whitening strips for the upcoming wedding, an interactive logic puzzle book we could work on together on our long airplane rides, and some stocking stuffers like nuts/protein bars/chocolate πŸ™‚

I ended up getting him the Joule sous vide on Black Friday. My husband loves to cook and is very gadget-y (scientist) so it’s the perfect gift… very excited to give it to him! I know my Mom got him the new Istanbul and Beyond cookbook so I’m looking forward to some yummy meals in 2018 πŸ™‚

I like the something you want, something you need, something to read.

So I’m going with NHL 18, new thermal clothes and I’m stumped on the something to read.

Carhartt tool holder.
Canvas print of our three dogs in black in white that he kept saying would be a cool idea. (Also for bday gift since thats the same week).

Walmart brand of the Yetti Can coolers/coozie.
And some outdoor solar lights with motion sensors.

Basically all the stuff he talks about. And my parents kept asking what he wanted but obviously I can’t afford right now. So he should be getting a pressure washer too.. which he keeps talking about… non stop. Gonna be a big surprise.

The things guys like lol.

We put a limit on our Christmas gifts, and we keep it to about $100 each. I have no idea what he’s getting me, as I don’t even know what I would want – usually I have a list, but this year I really don’t know of anything I need or want.

So far i’ve gotten my SO – 1) a motion activated toilet light (he really wanted it! :D) 2) an engraved leather wallet 3) a pair of suspenders (idk… he wanted this, too…) 4) nice warm socks for his upcoming boys’ ski trip 5) a new hair dryer 6) an over-the-cabinet hair dryer holder.

They are all little gifts, but I know he will like most of them. I’m not sure if he’ll like the wallet, though, because he likes the one he has, but it’s legit falling apart… i’ll still probably make him use the new one, because his is so old!
