Chimpy24 : That’s so funny, I got my SO the exact same thing last year – tickets to Foo Fighters.
This year we purchased my engagement ring, started living together and started saving for a house, so we are trying to keep things small. I have gotten him a newl monogrammed wallet as he has been mentioning his is getting to the end of its life, and will get him a video game or new controllers that he’s been eyeing. However, his birthday is right before Christmas so I have a double-whammy to think about.

We’re buying a house and had decided against Christmas gifts, but I had a few extra credit card points and bought him GoT Settlers of Catan. It will be a fun addition to game night for both of us.
I think I’m going to borrow from PP and get him some socks with our dogs’ faces.

I’m growing a baby, due in July. Not trying to spend any extra money so we won’t be doing presents this year.

teacher-bee-in-the-sea : Oh congrats! I remember your post about taking out your IUD. So exciting!
We both hate surprises, so have made a tradition of each picking out something we want and then buying it for each other. We share all finances anyway so it makes no difference. This year he got a Samsung smartwatch and I got plane tickets to visit my sister.

catmom17 : thanks, Bee! It’s been a pretty quick journey for us so I’m very grateful for that. Hoping it stays easy, at least for the pregnancy part.

Darling Husband usually has a Christmas wishlist a mile long, and this year is no different lol. We usually go big for Christmas, and I love seeing the surprise on his face so it’s worth it. Luckily I’ve got all my shopping done, and was able to score some good Black Friday deals
-Ski goggle covers
-Ski storage rack for our garage
-Bamboo ski poles
-Ski wax iron
-New ski roof rack
-Skis and bindings
See a theme? Lol. He lives to ski.

I wanted to add something I did a few years ago. I picked two animals from the WWF that I knew my sister and my boyfriend liked, and made a donation in their honor. 🙂

My husband is inconsiderate enough to have a birthday early in January so I always struggle for both!
This year he’s getting a go pro which will be just in time for our honeymoon in February. We’re going to the Maldives so I though it would be lovely to use it there. For his birthday it also means that I can cheat and buy go pro accessories haha. Boom.

We’re going on holiday to Florida in the new year so having a cheap Christmas! Its our first married Christmas so will still gift a few little things like some DVDs and nice coffee, but we’ve agreed that the holiday will be our main present to each other this year!

brideandblue : we decided instead of cluttering the house and wasting money on a bunch of random stuff and not seeing each other while we shop separately that we would shop together for one larger gift that we both want. This year it was a piece of art from an artist we’ve liked for a long time but kept hesitating on actually spending the $$ on. We can’t wait for it to be delivered!

I bought Fiance tickets to a really cool event happening a few hours from our town, It’s a live band show with a beer & Bacon expo… all things he loves haha. We’ll go halves on a hotel room as an “us” gift. I have to think of a couple smaller gifts too since I know my mom will ask for stocking stuffer ideas. I dont know what that should be though!
