I approve highly of the Blackhawks jersey Sealed

I still have no idea what I’m going to get him! I feel like I’m running out of time and then I remember it’s not December yet.

Awww, both of your ideas are so thoughtful and heartfelt!  We put a $250 limit on Christmas this year bc we purchased a home and, in all honesty, don’t NEED anything.  He’s probably getting some clothes, tools and definitely a photo calendar with pics from our past year.

Anyone else do the holidays on a budget?

I think I will get him a nice pair of quality slippers. He often wears his shoes in the house and it drives me nuts!

We do hanukkah so we have 8 nights of gift, but we put a limit on $5 gifts for the first 7 nights and $20 on the 8th night.  So far I am getting him a bunch of 3 musketeer bars (his favorite and he never buys them for himself) in a bunch of different sizes, some nice and toasty warm socks because he is out on the ambulance all day, and some new pajamas pants because he has worn his old ones out.  So I have 3 nights down….5 more to go.

@ccantics:  We aren’t buying each other anything.  We’re putting all of our extra money towards the wedding.  Cry

I’m getting him clothes. He doesn’t really go shopping much, and I know what he likes. He’s already asked for some new shorts.

My future son-in-law will celebrate his college graduation, birthday, their 3-year dating anniversary and Christmas within three weeks this December.  Due to the significance of all these occasions, my daughter has bought him a full set of gently used but still very expensive golf clubs. I’m buying the golf bag as my graduation/bday gift to him and we are so excited we can hardly wait to give it to him!  I agreed with her that if these four occasions fell several months apart, she would spend an amount that totals what we spent on this gift.  I truly believe at least once in your life, you should get a pony for your birthday; for this guy, golf clubs are a pony.

I have some ideas, but haven’t settled on one for sure.  He’s mentioned some really useful things that he’d like, like an electric toothbrush, or a contraption to keep dog hair off the backseat of his car, but I’m kind of bored by those ideas.  I’m thinking about going wild and replacing his classic iPod with something fancier (which he’s randomly mentioned replacing for the last year and a half…).

@EffieTrinket:  This.

We’re shopping for wedding bands next week. Perhaps I’ll tell him those are our christmas presents to one another. 🙂

@missfroggy:  Mmm…iPad…I still want one, but can’t justify it.  You’ve gone one lucky SO!
