Nothing to my parents because they are not paying for the wedding or contributing in anyway. They are pretty much just guest at the wedding. I’m just hoping they will show up on time.

I am only planning on giving a gift to my fsil for all the hard work she is putting in our wedding. I’m leaning towards a gift card to her favorite store.

and maybe some booze or something for my fbil and his fiance for being in the bridal party.

We didn’t get anything for our parents for the wedding, but we did exchange gifts for eachother.  I bought him a scuba dive watch and he bought me a new digital camera (my last one was stollen on a vacation) and an underwater housing to use with it.

Bored6:  Are you guys planning to exchange gifts at future holidays? I’m just curious about your “my money/his money” comment, because we had a joint account even before we were married and we still exchange gifts, for us it’s not about the money but the thought behind picking something out for the other.

I’ve treated my hubby to be to a Tag Heuer watch he’s had an eye on for a long time, parents I think we are buying them a plant – perhaps a rose bush which they can’t plant in their garden (hopefully longher lasting than a bunch of flowers!)

juliette.eliza:  yeah we gift eachother gifts for Christmas and birthdays. Nornally for anniversary or v-day we just treat ourselves to a nice dinner out with no gifts.

My fiance’s birthday is really close to valentine day and my b-day is close to our anniversary so it is easier to gift eachother gifts on Christmas and Birthdays.

We have talked about it and agree we aren’t getting eachother a gift.  Although, I will probably write him a letter the day of because I want to give him something even if we aren’t spending money.  We plan on buying our parents gifts but haven’t decided on what yet.  We were thinking may be a night or two away at a hotel.  This will help his parents pay to stay in town (if they so choose) and will allow my parents a night or two away from home.

Bought Fiance a key chain with the saying “I vow to love you…even during football season”. He is a bit football obsessed so it’s perfect! Fiance is not a gift giver so I would be shocked if we gets me anything. But really, he got me the ring so I guess that’s the best gift 🙂

for our parents, I was initially leaning to no gift. They are not contributing to the wedding, but after thinking about it, decided to get them something small to thank them for traveling to the wedding. For the moms, we are getting them those infinity necklaces (all over etsy!) and got his dad, cuff links that say “father of the groom”. Just a small momento they can wear on the wedding day

I gave DH a pretty expensive revolver. I got my mom a personalized Tervis and my dad a personalized beer mug along with a heartfelt letter.

springbee2015:  I’m getting my Fiance a gold rosary  He’s wanted one for a long time and won’t buy one for himself. Neither of us are particularly religious, but he grew up Catholic and he’s Latin, so it’s sort of a cultural thing for him. I think for parents we’ll just do a nice picture frame for them to keep their favorite picture from the day.
